I guess I'm not sure why you need to take the bangle to Cartier for cleaning/shining. Any jeweler can do that for you even if it's requeted to not buff but use hand tools, the cost would be less than $50. Is there a particular reason to use Cartier??

I can't see the reason to be honest. It's different for watches. It's very much preferable to let these handled via the branded store. Any jeweler that you trust can clean & shine jewelry and give a rhodium layer. I have such a good relation with my own local jeweler that they clean & polish all the jewelry that I wear that day... for free.

so I got them today. I love all the gift wrap an boxes ect. I am not sure if the size is right for the love bangle? I got the 17 because the sa said to measure with soft tape around my wrist at the bone part. but It seems snug to me. It can move up and down some what but won't spin on my wrist. I measured at a 6" ish. I am not sure if I should have got a 18? My DH thinks it fits right that it shouldn't move around to much that's why its oval shape he says. Any advice guys?

first off, congrats! i heard it's not suppose to move much but i hear some ladies get it a little larger so there's movement. i think it's ultimately up to you and how you like wearing your bracelets.

I think the 17 is the right size unless you want to wear it loose. I was fitted at the Cartier store and bought a 16. It fit snug. I was a bit concerned because you could feel it at first, but you soon get used to it. The SA at Cartier said it's better to fit snug because it will prevent it from banging around too much and scratching. You do need to be okay with it scratching. I've had it for only a month and have several noticeable scratches, but figure it's unpreventable.

I was just at Cartier in San Francisco this past week picking up my watch that was getting serviced. I inquired about the cost of polishing the Love Bracelet and he said the cost to polish was $110. I was thinking of polishing my white gold watch and it's over 10 years old and he told me the cost for the watch was $165. The guy told me if I want to bring in the bracelet at the same time he would comp the polishing charge on the bracelet. But, I just recently got the bracelet so not sure if I would take advantage of it unless I wait another 10 years. They recommended I only polish every 10 years. Nice cusomer service though. He told me they need to send the watch and bracelet to NYC to polish as they don't have the equipment in SF. Not sure about other locations though. I should have inquired about the steam cleaning.

Congrats on your purchases I'm sure they look gorgeous together!!! Can you post pics? I have the YG love bangle and it is in a size 16, it fits sort of snug..but if I move it up slightly on my wrist I can spin it. I honestly prefer it snug because I find that if it was larger I would be banging it more often.
