No they didn't mention it, but it was obvious upon examination.
Thank you! Yeah, def wasn’t mentioned to me either. My SA did say that the polishing costs money so she didn’t think that they did but I could tell. Again, I’ve made my peace w it .:.doesn’t seem like you can really control it, unfortunately.

Omg thats amazing! I need 36 characters and it was a deal breaker for me. Did you have to convince your SA at all to get that many letters, or did you just have to ask? I would hate to go in, buy it, and they say that it is true that 15 characters is max. Because then I would not buy it.

I know this is an old post, but were you able to get 36 characters engraved? did that include spaces?

I'm being ambitious and want to get 1 regular YG love, and 1 small RG love. I want two different quotes on each bracelet - one is 21 characters, but 27 with spaces, and the other is 20 characters, but 26 with spaces. I'm currently working with a SA to get my love necklace extended, and he's quite green, so he hasn't been helpful in answering my questions on engraving, or following up on my questions =/

All 3 of my Love bracelets are engraved. Online you only get 4 characters on the classic; whereas, in person you get more. Since my classics include diamonds, you will get less letters or symbols, but I have at least 13 letters/symbols on my 4 diamond Love, and then a date off to another area on the bracelet. On my 6 diamond classic, I only have a surname/last name engraved.

On the small, there's lots of spacing so you can probably fit a quote there. Basically, the After Sales Associate writes down what you request (possibly with another option just in case) and sends it off to NYC. If for some reason NYC can't accommodate your request, then they will let you know through your After Sales Associate.

I am contemplating engraving my Cartier Love Bracelet but am looking for pictures of the engravings and some inspiration! Can anyone share photos of their Cartier engravings? (doesn’t need to be a love bracelet )

dear Cartier lovers
Not sure if this has already been discussed but I couldn’t find any info :hrmm: Also, I don’t have a Cartier store nearby. I emailed an SA a week ago but have yet to receive a reply…
My SOs B-day is coming up and I would like to get him the RG Love ring in a size 64 and had the idea of engraving the first sentence he wrote me on the ring :) Unfortunately, only 10 characters are allowed (without emojis the sentence would amount to 13 characters) so I was wondering if it’s possible to replace one word with the according emoji..
does anyone know if that’s possible? has someone already done this? I would be really grateful to receive some info on this topic - tia

These are the forms for engraving, not sure about the no. of characters for ring.View attachment 5721328View attachment 5721329
thank you, this is really helpful… actually the emoji I would like to engrave is a coffee mug… I guess I’ll call them up tomorrow and see if they make exceptions;) on the other hand, on the website it’s possible to order with an engraving and when I enter that emoji it looks like it might work ☺:D that’s also where it says max 10 characters

This is the reply I received from CS. Very disappointing… it also appears that where I am based it is not even possible to engrave any of the emojis listed on the form above :-/ I will still go in in person and see if this is indeed the final answer.

Here's a thread on engraving from Cartier and my own personal experience as well as others. I have all 3 of my Loves engraved. Two of which were sent to NYC to engrave while another was custom made and engraved in France.

Your SA may be right about the emojis since it doesn't appear on that list; however, I recall they send it to NYC with what you request, and if they can't do it, then they won't so it doesn't hurt to try. Also, they ask you for several other options is what the After Sales Service rep requested from me for my engraving.

thank you  that’s very interesting and it also makes me believe even more that the info in the boutique might vary from the CS reply. We shall see… I will definitely give an update on the outcome and if it works I will of course upload pics ;) even if emojis aren’t possible, at least maybe I’ll be allowed to have 13 characters engraved (since the ring is for a man I assume maybe there is also a bit more space  also, maybe due to people preferring Tiffany hearts ;-P Cartier stopped offering hearts? Can’t wait to find out

Did they stop offering hearts? I don't know. All of mine have at least one heart in them (like the above on the form). If it's in Script, the heart is also slanted. If it is Roman 3L, the heart is directly up and down without a slant to follow the font.

I have used both Script and Roman fonts. It depends on what you are looking for and what you inscribe, but Script tends to look more romantic and elegant in my opinion; whereas, Roman looks more prestigious when it's in all CAPs.

P.S. I am a coffee lover too; however, my next engraving, I will try to go for a Cat's Paw (LOL)!!!

I definitely prefer Script  I only learned through PF about this form. On the Cartier website it doesn’t look like it’s possible to order anything with a heart engraving :-/ but who knows?

the first sentence my SO wrote me was “Coffee downtown?” (but in our language)… meeting for coffee resulted in us spending the whole day downtown and now 7 years together  (although he was my very first bf in 5th grad but we lost sight of each other for over 15 years)…

a paw sounds also like a great idea  good idea for the next engraving (if possible… ;) )

So in case anyone is interested, here a quick update: I went in store to enquire and was told it is not possible to engrave just any emoji. However, even though according to the website characters are limited to 10, I can have the whole sentence engraved which amounts to 15 including spaces + a single heart. The SA was very efficient and said he does the engraving himself. If I had wanted a double heart it wouldn’t have worked because for this the ring would need to be engraved in Paris. I never saw a form and only wrote my sentence on a little piece of paper. If I had not made this post on tPF I would not have been aware that hearts are possible so I am very greatful, thanks everyone for your help <3
He also informed me that it is possible to have love rings made larger or smaller, whereby smaller is easier.

Hello all,

Not sure if this has already been asked or addressed but I couldn’t find an answer.

Is it possible to engrave a love bracelet with two different fonts? Or will they only allow one font?

I’m planning to engrave two birthdates on the inside but wanted one to be in script and the other not.

Anyone here have two different fonts for their personal engraving or any SAs with an answer.
