I had similar experience with a co-worker.
"Wow you carrying luxury bag to work" It was a Loewe mini gate not even that high key loud.
"Wow Chanel J12! How much did that cost? Why didn't you get a Rolex instead"
Following week she came to my office (we located in different office), again commented on my jewellery.
Thank goodness I don't have to see her again.

Incredible! It’s sometimes very tempting to answer something rude to these rude persons! Although I know the receptionist at my work didn't mean to be. She probably wanted to show me she could recognise jewellery (even if she had to look it up online!) and wanted to chat and try to bond. But she certainly needs manners lessons! Glad you don’t have to see your tactless coworker!

I will never understand why people get so worked up over how others spend their money.

one co-worker felt the need to declare to me that its smarter to have a jeweler make it since they have the molds. I responded with ‘okay’ but all I could think of was that radio interview Kat Williams did a few years ago lol

great stack and they look so new! just curious, do you wear these on your dominant hand/wrist when you work? do you find it hinders the wrist movement? thanks in advance!

Sorry I didn’t see this till now…thanks it’s pretty old with a ton of scratches wen you look closely…the thin love is newer about 2yrs old . I wear them on my dominant wrist when I’m working and it doesn’t hinder my wrist movement. I find if I wear any more than 3 bangles it start feeling too cumbersome on my wrist so max is 3 for my everyday stack ..thanks

Luckily I haven’t received rude comments from co-workers (99% of them have no idea of the cost of my pieces and would be mortified to know) but I was turned off of shopping at a local jewelry store (non-Cartier) where the store manager (no less) made quite a fuss about my Cartier and fairly loudly on several occasions. She didn’t mean to be rude but it was not discreet so I felt uncomfortable and it’s made me not want to go back. Manners, people!

Agree, to each his own. I’d rather have bling than a super fancy car. I’ve worked hard for many years and it’s what I like.
