I wear a Love bracelet everyday either WG or RG, and a nice watch Cartier, AP, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin. I don't really think about it. We can tell you about the places we work, and our experiences, but I think to some degree it's about knowing your own work environment, the people you work with, and clients you might see. Are they people that aren't into those things and wouldn't know much about them anyway? Are they people who would make comments, be it complimentary, humorous, or snide/catty? Then ask yourself if you would be ok with it?
Most of my co-workers know I like nice things, I have nicer clothes, jewelry, watches, cars etc. It's not their thing, and they might joke, but it's all in good fun, never nasty or competitive.
There is one person at my office who is very competitive (house size, cars, vacations) but knows nothing about jewelry and watches. If I drive my Mercedes to work rather than that Toyota I get comments like, "Wow, its a big day if you're driving the Benz here," or "Wow, todays a Benz day!" I just ignore it because it's a bit juvenile. He'd probably go insane if I ever found out I also have a Porsche and a Ferrari!
