I bought the large Francaise 2 tone automatic mainly cuz I want the option of wearing it with a leather strap .Small and medium don't look so good as the large on leather. But it is really nice in gold and steel as well.

A Quartz has to have a battery change every one to two years. If it's done by Cartier it's about £500,
I would always choose an automatic over a Quartz, even though Quartz are more accurate there is something about the beautiful workmanship that goes into an automatic. Saying that Cartier automatic movements are not made by Cartier themselves, they are made by eta unlike Rolex who make their own....

I would have thought it's for all Francais line, however I believe the automatic comes in the large size only

I have found that batteries have lasted anything from four to seven years and the cost to change plus complete service around £250.
They do in the medium size in quartz but it doesn't have a date or you can call and try to see if they can locate one for you. Good luck.I wish they had it in all steel

Think this may be just me, but I actually get quite cross when high end jewellers drop their prices. I think it's a slap in the face to those who bought it at the higher price. It also says to me it wasn't worth the original price, to pay a lot for a expensive item is different to paying a lot for an overpriced item. It also takes the joy out of saving to buy an item, because there is always that "perhaps if I wait the price will drop" or "if I buy it now I bet they will drop the price" or "sod it I just bought it and now its cheaper". .... just my little rant and totally IMO
