I asked a SA why some Love collection items come with a regular COA while other Love pieces have the Love collection referenced in the COA. She said the boutiques often receive only a limited supply of Love collection COAs and the eBoutique often has many more Love collection COAs to distribute with sold pieces.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up digging through my papers and see that I was just given a cartier certificate via a piece of paper and the other with the warranty card-- registered them both online on Cartier's website. Now I have peace of mind!

With my recent but returned boutique watch purchase, I only got a warranty card. It was hidden in the watch box - news to me, but you have remove the black interior cushion / case to find the card and care booklet.

I never got a authenticity certificate... do I need to ask for this on my next watch purchase? The SA also told me the cleaning kits are only for jewelry...

All jewelry I have purchased came with certificates. However, the watches I purchased did not. IIRC, the warranty/books with them got the same stamp inside that the boutique does on the certificates. Also, I would think the certificates would only be applicable if the item was gold or platinum. If purchase a steel watch, it won't have a certificate because the language on the certificate mentions that the item is made of gold or platinum.

Thanks for your reply! Good to know I'm not missing a authenticity certificate.

I guess this little card is the authenticity / warranty card. This was a stainless steep watch. The card did have a serial #, reference #, QR code and a date of purchase (hand written by the SA).

Sorry to reopen this thread, but I have a tangential question.

I noticed that the COA is different from the US and other countries. I saw a JUC COA from Puerto Rico, and it says-
" Made in 18k 750 0/00 gold or in 950 0/00 platinum, we certify that this is an authentic Cartier jewel."
versus the one I am seeing online which says
"" Made in 18k gold or in platinum, we certify that this is an authentic Cartier jewel."

Is this difference normal based on location or maybe based on time of sale? This was in September 2021.

There are lots of fake products out there, so it is hard to say if what you saw online is authentic, or a fake.

I know there is a Cartier boutique in Puerto Rico. Perhaps because Puerto Rico while a US territory is largely a Spanish speaking market they change the wording? Most of my COAs are from Boutiques on the mainland of the US. I only have one from a foreign country and I would need to look at it to see if the language is the same or different from what you have mentioned.

I made my first online purchase for a love collection item and it came with a standard COA without any Love wording. The serial number is correct but I was a bit let down it’s not specific to love.
