I am over the moon for this handbag. I think it is beyond gorgeous. Would love to add it to my collection but have a couple of hesitations. I’ve never owned a bag this light in color. I’m careful and take care of my things but afraid of keeping it clean. I don’t plan on wearing with denim. Will mostly use this for work. I wear a lot of black, grey, and neutral suiting. Also, is this creme color only for spring/summer or can it be worn year round? To date, I’ve stuck with a couple of mono bags and several black bags. Only recently ventured out and purchased a light blue Girolata bag. Does anyone own this bag or a creme color mahina bag? All advice/thoughts are welcomed and would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

I do think this bag is absolutely gorgeous looking. When it was released I was seriously considering to purchase it. I personally don't mind the light color and wouldn't be overly worried about color transfer. I would be careful to not rub the leather against denim, though. What turned me off, is the fact that the bag has no lining. For such a pricey piece, a protective lining is a must for me. Pity, because I really love the shape and the handle and basically everything...
If the missing lining isn't a problem for you, I'd say go for it.

I have this bag in black. I absolutely love it. I looked at it in the cream originally, but I didn't like it on me. It is very beautiful, and I think that you could use it year round. This would totally work with a camel or grey coat. I can't say much about color transfer, but I am finding mahina to be such a well wearing leather (I have had a Babylon Chain in black for a few ears now). But the best thing about it is that it is super light weight. The lack of a lining doesn't bother me at all. I no longer use my Artsy in empreinte ( I will let her go), as I'm reaching for the Carmel all of the time. The light blue girolata is a fairly delicate colored bag, so if you are doing well with it, then you should be just fine with this one. Hope this helps:smile:

Thank you for your feedback. I am planning on visiting my local boutique soon to take a look at it in person. I’ve yet to lay eyes on it. That may sway my decision

Yes, that info is super helpful for me. Thanks for your thoughts. I do love lighter weight bags. I hadn’t carried my Montaigne in a while and broke it out last week. After having carried the Girolata and the mono pieces, I forgot the weight of the empriente pieces. I love the lux look of empriente but it is heavier than my other bags. I’m going to visit one of my local boutiques to check out the Carmel in person. I not had any worries about keeping my light blue Girolata clean. Also love the Hina PM in Galet. So many beautiful handbags to decide on lol!

I also have this back in black. Given it sit's up higher I don't think color transfer would be a problem. Particularly given that you aren't planning on wearing with denim. I think the cream would look beautiful year round. A stark white bag is more of a summer bag, but the cream could be viewed as a winter white.

The perforations without a lining make the bag very unique in that you can see the sun through the bag which is beautiful. The leather is very sturdy and holds it's shape without a liner. I do use an organizer in mine. It's designed for a Speedy and works perfectly.

Thank you so much for your valuable input! Great feedback. Thanks for the info about how it holds up. I just came from the boutique. It is even more stunning in person. I’m heavily leaning towards it. I don’t have a handbag like it and would be different for me. Which is good  I used to think Epi was my favorite material but Mahina is definitely creeping on up there lol.

@coloradolvr, would you mind sharing the specific organizer you purchased (brand)? I looked on Amazon and the number of available options is overwhelming lol. I think I found one that fits the dimensions of the bag but the size is called Slender Large and the brand is ZTUJO. Curious if this is similar to the one you have. Thanks!

Sure! I used one that I had for my Speedy 30 from Smorga. It's a perfect fit. I'm including pictures of what it looks like outside, inside the bag, and how the bag looks with it inside and closed. Smorga organizers are very light so it doesn't add hardly any weight. HTH!

I have this in black as well (actually carried it today), and I LOVE it. Seriously, I don't remember the last time I was so happy with a bag's form AND function.

I can see the point about a lining, but this is so lightweight and easy to carry, even with a bunch of stuff loaded into it. I plan on using mine for travel for that reason, but I think it could be a good work bag too.

I do think an organizer could be a good idea for a light-colored, unlined bag, though, to keep the inside looking good as well as the outside.
