I think it is a classic and every style and color it comes out in is beautiful, except for the really exotic one of a kinds. I love the smaller ones they have now. I have the BB in Rubis red and it is very elegant.
Capucines - Classic or Hype?

The Capucines has a classical take of bag. But it not same league like Alma and Speedy in terms of history.
I also see it more as a hype. It is not one of the major bags I associate with LV. That slot is reserved for luggage like pieces and some of their classic canvas bags, whihbis the reason I fell in love with LV over 20 years ago.
For me the Capucine is a hype bag, LV wants to make a classic, which will work for the people who start exploring LV in the past years and therefore will eventually become a classic. Don‘t get me wrong. It is a classic looking pretty bag and I understand how many people love it.
Me myself I don‘t like the shape and the compartments. It would not be a practical bag for me to use. For that money I would rather invest in a „real“ classic like a Birkin or even a P9 Speedy or one of the leather Keepalls.

I love Capucines, it’s LV’s great original creation, beautiful, stylish, luxurious, feminine but not too feminine, it’s a statement piece, and suitable for almost all occasions, suitable for more occasions than a birkin.
Definitely a classic! And very much comparable to a Birkin (actually a Kelly because of the strap). The quality is superb and I love the different limited styles they come out with each season. They’re beautiful and easy to wear. My only complaint is that divider in the middle as it takes up unnecessary space.
