Canvas cracking?

I absolutely love to cinch the sides of my neverfull and wear the bag as shown, has anyone noticed cracking in the canvas along the folded areas after a few years? I don’t want to inadvertently damage my bag

I just literally posted about this! I have the gm size and always wear it cinched in. I have noticed cracking on my bag unfortunately. I have had my bag for 3.5 years and it’s been my workhorse bag. I’m honestly really disappointed with the cracking.

I don't own a Neverfull (had one once but didn't keep it) but I do have two Beaubourg totes which also cinch, albeit with popper closures, and I've never had any issues with the canvas cracking.
