Canadian Diamonds

My and DH's wedding rings are set with Canadian diamonds. They were a bit more expensive but we were happy to pay the extra money to ensure that the workers are well-treated and fairly compensated. Plus, Canada has socialized health care, good social justice laws, etc. so we felt good about contributing to the Canadian economy.

We wanted our wedding rings to represent the values we both hold dear: love and compassion for others.

Awww! This - and this whole thread - made me so proud to be a Canadian! I have to buy a new E ring and will definitely go Canadian!

ps I went in today and learned more about polar ice diamonds (the ones with the polar bear on them!) - they are the only ones that never leave Canada, at any stage... she said they are a bit more expensive but really good quality. Interesting!

I believe Brilliant Earth has lots of Canadian Diamonds, and a wide variety of setting styles. From what I've seen you will pay a bit of a premium for Canadian stones, but if it's important to you and you're happy, that's what matters.
