Can SA not get items that are on H.com?

Is this normal?
I've been purchasing from my SA for a number of years but have only bought what was in store.
Since the pandemic, I've been emailing her some items that are on the website for purchase... and she doesn't do it.
She suggests items that are in the store.... The items I've requested aren't hot selling items. Example: a losange. They've been in stock for days and have never disappeared so I know inventory isn't a problem. I've told her I would place an order for it.

Do SAs not have access to the inventory on H.com? I understand that physical stores have low inventory and have heard some stores may be unwilling to part with stock and send to another store. But I'm surprised that she's unable/unwilling to get items that are online. If they're online, they have to be in a warehouse somewhere waiting for me!

Perhaps she doesn't know how to do it? :confused1:
Has anyone had this happen to them with their SA?

So I just send my SA stuff from the site to encourage the relationship. Never a problem with her getting them. But I have gotten charged shipping when I otherwise wouldn't getting it from h dot com. Have people gotten carriage costs successfully removed from their SA "web" orders.

My SA order items from the website when I visit her in store. The store gets credit for the sale when placed via the SA. The sale is rung up on a separate register system with respect to store purchases and I have never been charged shipping.

Oooh... So i have to place the order in store? This is very inconvenient! They'll be asking us for telegrams before we know it.

My SA has told me on two separate occasions to purchase inquired items online. Has this happened to anyone?

My SA had asked me to order items from the website if I see it. The store does not carry all the items available on the website.
For each in store visit, the store wants to see us spend money. If the item is not available in store and I am interested in items on the website, my SA will place the order for me.
It may come down to revenue for time invested during our appointments.

I think you missed the point. What is a telegram?
I thought okayitsme2000 meant that if an item that she wanted was neither available instore nor was it able to be transferred from another store, but it was available from Hermes.com, her SA was willing and able to order it from Hermes.com on her behalf. The retail stores and Hermes.com are independent branches of the business.
The SA did not mean that a customer was not able to order from Hermes.com directly from home.

Totally understood. I guess my question is, why can't my SA place the online order for the item, when she already knows she doesn't have the item in stock? I thought this would be easier for her instead of making an appointment and wasting time when i know the item is already online. Just order it online for me, if it's not in stock

Perhaps you're right, and the store simply doesn't carry this item.

A telegram is old form of communication. It's a long distance message sent via morse code. And It's supposed to be a joke.
Also, okayitsme2000's SA seems to be able to procure items for her from the website. Mine doesn't seem to be able to or is unwilling to do so.... In the past, She's been able to get me enamel bracelets that were available online but sold out in store. I guess I'm confused as to why she can get some items but not others when they're all available online.

Perhaps it's that her store simply will never carry it or that she doesn't have the time to order it.

Ugh... Hermes is so confusing. Sometimes SA can get items online, sometimes they can't. My SA has been able to get enamel bracelets that were available online but not in stock in store... but for other items she can't do this? Weeird.

morse code? the joke could go on and on . . . we can all be waiting for the Wells Fargo stage coach

to be serious for a moment
I wonder if some people have confused SAs sourcing something from another store with them using the Hermes.com site.
I have found that if a store does not have something in stock, SAs always look for items on their phones.
If something is available from another store they will get it for you.
That could be confused with them ordering it for you 'on line' from Hermes.com

Good point! Perhaps she never ordered from website to begin with!

After purchasing several items from my H store, I have paid for shipping each time. I mentioned that the same item is available online with free shipping and I was told that even though it is on H.com I would still have to pay from their store. I am not sure why they aren't able to waive it though.

I would rather pay for shipping with my SA since I can't get a B or K on H.com.

Hermes.com and Hermes retail shops are two different arms of the business.
If you shop online obviously the goods have to be sent to you.
As an incentive online shops often have a very low threshold above which you do not have to pay for delivery.
If you shop in any store you would be expected to take the items you buy away with you,
unless they are too unwieldy to carry. Even then you might usually have to pay for carriage and delivery.
There is no reason why Hermes business model should be any different.

ditto! I believe the SAs get commission too when they order things online. It's similar to when they do transfers from other stores because inventories differ
