It sounds as though you really want the Keepall but the price is holding you back. I would aim for the Keepall, otherwise you might not be happy with the Speedy, especially if you won't feel confident carrying it.
Yes, as long as you like it and want it I don't see why not. I have 2 speedy 40s and love them. I haven't felt like wearing them lately but I will when I'm in the right mood for them.
Hope you make your decision soon and don't worry too much about it. If you love it, get it.

I "hate" questions like this. Can I wear my LV to work? Can I wear a Birkin to class? Can a man wear "x,y,z" If you like it and it's authentic, you (all of you) should wear whatever the heck you want! Seriously .... 
PS - howardu, is that an iPhone you have blinged out? Is it a case, and if so where did you get it? I have a hot pink case for mine, but I want something a little nicer for it. TIA.
I have a Speedy 35 Damier Ebene and I’m male 6ft 2 and 85kgs. I love the bag and it looks so good when a guy is carrying it, I get complemented all the time. Even in the LV when I go in with it the SA’s always love it. I’ve just ordered a Heritage speedy 40 yesterday so am currently waiting for that to arrive. So the answer is yes, men can certainly use a speedy. Essentially to me the classic speedy is really just a doctor style hand held bag. With men it’s looks masculine and with women it looks feminine. Speedys really are versatile. A male friend of mine has a Speedy B 25 Damier Ebene and wears it as a cross body which looks really cool - almost has a cool casual bag look, works really well on a him! So you buy whatever you want to be honest, it’s weird that LV still are so traditional on their website with the whole Men vs Women categories. Not saying products can’t be directed at either of those two genders however, LV is dated in the sense in some instances it’s the same bag, but the print or colour determines whether it’s men or women haha it’s like men are ‘supposed’ to only use Eclipse mono or anything else dark grey lol. Very silly! Not that anything’s wrong with the darker grey tones but it’s nice to have warm tones like classic mono with gold hardware too.. Believe it or not LV, men also change up their outfits as women do so sometimes a colour scheme will call for a warmer tone bag haha!

Great assessment! I have the 40 and was considering adding a crossbody 25 myself.
