Can date codes fade away? MC Bolognes

I purchases a MC black bolognes from let-trade about 2 or so years ago. I was doing some spring cleaning and decided to get really organized with my closet. I started an excel spread sheet with all my bags, with a second column for date code and so on. Half way done entering everything in my bags, when I come to my bolognes. I spent a good 30 mins searching every inch of this bag for the date code. I know when I purchased from let-trade it had one, but now its gone. Can this happen or am I just blind. I swear I can't find it anywhere. Help.

It should be located inside the pocket along the seam:

Since the date code is heat stamped onto the alcantra lining, it is normal for it to sort of fade away over time. If you can't read it, perhaps try using a flashlight.
