I'm so excited, just ordered my first satchel from the Leather Satchel Co! I decided to order from them instead of Cambridge as I really wanted the magnetic fasteners... I hope to get the bag soon :)

Does anyone know if the 13" satchel would fit the 13" macbook. I'm looking at the measurements and it looks like it would technically fit (width of macbook is 12.7") but the site gives outside dimensions and I hear the leather is really thick. I literally just need something that fits my macbook, a slim wallet, cell phone, and lip gloss. The width seems fine for those other things and I prefer a snug fit (hate when my macbook is jostling around).

Anyone ever tried this?

Def an iPad and def NOT my 13 inch MacBook pro. Sorry

Hello all, so here is my pre-owned yet in mint condition red pillar satchel from the Leather Satchel Co. I have to say that after purchasing from Cambridge, Leather Satchel, Bohemia and Zatchels. I would say the Leather Satchel and Bohemia are manufactured out of the same place...the leather has a similar lightness to it whereas Cambridge and Zatchels are way thicker and heavier bags. So here she is!

Hi baglover1917! May I know what size is this red satchel? It's gorgeous. I'm thinking of getting it from leather satchel co. as well, as I would like to get the magnetic closure. In your opinion, do you think the quality of the satchel from LSC is better, or the ones from Cambridge better? Thanks!

CSC finally sorted out my pink bag and sent me a replacement, can now finally breathe a sigh of relief. New bag has scratches on the inside of the flap and a tiny, pretty much unnoticeable crease on the front. Not sure I'll buy another clearance bag after that though, to save £20-£25 it doesn't seem worth the hassle.

Glad to hear they sorted it.
I had a look at that section and to be honest I wouldnt have even thought to buy one. Without pictures of the faults and better descriptions it just sounds like too much of a gamble and a way to get people to buy the otherwise unsellable stock.

Yeah I've been tempted a few times to order from clearance but when I called and asked for pics and they told me there weren't any I got turned off. Its like you're totally visualizing and like Jaime says its def a gamble. I think I've gotten one or two of these from Ebay because people haven't been happy with the defects they got so they resold it. For me as long as I can see pics I'm fine. The logo on my 15" green cambridge is very faint so I wonder if this was a clearance bag. Also, the last brown cambridge I bought has a light crease on the flap so I wonder the same. I really still want a mustard/yellow satchel...oh boy! When does it stop??

I think all of the good clearance bags get snatched up as soon as they go on sale, the pink one was my 3rd choice as my other two weren't available and they hadn't updated the website. Before I got my replacement bag, the returns lady did photograph it to show me the teeny tiny crease in the bag and it completely put my mind at rest.

Saying that, it was an absolute nightmare as there is only one person in the returns department who didn't tell me that she was going away for a week, and office hours there are really short so it's hard to speak to anyone. I did get my postage refunded and my new bag is near perfect but I won't be using the clearance section any more. It really does seem like a way for them to clear out the otherwise unsaleable bags to unsuspecting customers.
