Can anyone tell me please how these have held up? My DH is thinking about getting me one for Mother Day coming up and he said the leather was super thick and very structured. I tend to like structure, but if someone can say how they have held up over several months to a year(s)?

Yeah, I kind of gave up the idea of a neon (although I saw quite a few in NYC over the weekend). I am debating between green, purple and navy.

I think I am getting one, too! I have been talking about them for a week or so and he's been asking me all kinds of questions, going on the website... Suspicious..

Just never liked them at all. The pattern is copied from the traditional satchel companies (e.g. Cambridge). I don't like it when newer companies rip off a classic design and charge more for it. I also really don't like the fabric tag on the Zatchels as I think it makes them look cheap. Personally, I like my satchels to be traditional, although I don't mind the Cambridge fluoro ones, I would never want a patterned satchel, I just don't think they look right, plus you can get similar looking ones in Primark. Cambridge is also a much smaller company and was the first to get 'recognised' so personally I'd rather support them.

Got my new gold 11" Cambridge satchel today from Hendri Bendel :D and the SA gave me 20% off! They also had the 2012 line and a few neons...Luv it to pieces!

What other stores carry the authentic cambridge satchels, except Bloomingdales? I went to my local Bloomingdales yesterday and they only had the 11" and mostly neon...

No dice. :-( I just called and the SA says they do not sell them at that location but might at their flagship store in NYC.

I know there is a Cambridge location in Times Square.
Also my DH told me there are some items at the W hotel in Hoboken NJ at their boutique... :-)

What!!!! There is a Cambridge store in Times Square???? I was there yesterday but didn't know this otherwise I would have stopped by. On Cambridge's site when I checked their locations I was under the impression that they only carry their bags at other stores in the US (i.e. bloomies, henri's etc). So you can def check out Henri's flagship (they had gold, silver, orange fluro, green fluro, black glittery one - the 2012 color and the bronze also 2012) oh and maybe white - not sure though :) Oh, and all were 11". You can all them and ask them to hold one if you can't get there today. They will go fast the SA said and I was really surprised he gave me the 20% off but now I checked the Cambridge site and before shipping that bag is $165 but Henri Bendel is selling it for $198 so they are making some $$$ cause you know that when you order bulk you def pay alot less per bag and for shipping. I think you should get out there and see what you can find. Today is a gorgeous day! Good luck!
