Erica,your rings are stuning.
btw, How can you take so beautiful picture? I never took any good pictures.
What kind of camera are u using?

Thanks! My camera model escapes me at the moment, but it's a recent upgrade and was approx $500 new. But I had great results with my old Kodak Easyshare 4MP point & shoot too. The key is that both the object you're photographing and the camera have to be perfectly still. And you need lots and lots of light - diffused sunlight works best for photographing jewelry. Use the macro (little flower symbol) setting with no flash. And know that for every 20 pics you take, only 1 or 2 will look great :)

Erica, those are beautiful! I love old cuts and warmer toned diamonds! I've seen your site referenced on Pricescope- you have some amazing finds. If I do find that guy one day and opt for a traditional ring, I would love an antique stone- and even if I don't I'll likely spring for one myself once I hit 30 in a couple years- big birthdays deserve a big gift, right?

Darn tootin! I can't say enough about old cuts - when one speaks to you, it will do so in a BIG way! Each one is special and no one around you will have anything like it. They throw big chunky colored flashes and really look amazing in both bright and low light conditions (in fact they were cut for candlelight, so they perform amazingly under these conditions). Nice to meet another PS'er! I only have 2 major addictions: antique diamonds and handbags!
