Why does everyone here shop at the Goyard SF branch?! My Mistress lives in San Francisco, I've yet to visit. The London one is too kind to me!

Hi, after having my 35cm Croisiere for a few years (since 2007) I decided to thoroughly clean the interior. I took out the stiff board that keeps the bag's shape.
Then I realised that each side of the bag's yellow interior has a beige-coloured fabric piping.
Is this common?
I'm asking this because I bought the bag from a friend, not from the store.
Hope someone can satisfy my curiosity and if any of you have pictures of the interior of a Goyard Croisiere I'd be delighted to see them.

Noooo...Goyard does not do serial numbers. Each bag is referred to by it's name. If someone is trying to sell you a bag with a serial number claiming it's authentic it definitely is not!!

That's not true. I have the Goyard Yellow St. Louis pm and it does have serial number VAE 020141 l bought it from Barneys New York.

HI GOYARDGIRL, i have a Goyard St. Louis PM in black tan. My concern is that it does not have a serial number stamped on either the pochette or the strap. Is it possible for an authentic goyard not to have a serial no? I hope you can help me! thanks!

Hmmm, my St Louis GM came with plastic wrapping around the handles and it was purchased from Barneys NY.
The Belechasse I was looking at in Barneys also had plastic covering the handles.

Ummm not true. New Goyard St Louis totes will be sent from France with plastic covers on handles. GOYARD labeled brown boxes are provided only for their premium high ticket handbag styles and also their small leather goods. The number stamped on the bags is a reference code that Goyard uses to reference which one of their factories produced a particular style, and also which particular batch it was produced in, in case they need to trace a defect. There are not individual authenticity codes for each bag like Chanel does. For Goyard, multiple bags can be stamped with the same reference number.

They do come with plastic on the handles sometimes.

My St Louis purchased from the SF boutique had plastic on the handles and the dust bag is bright yellow and says Goyard.

Speaking from personal experience in owning Goyard. The bag cover is not something I’ve seen before and the tag doesn’t look familiar either. Also the interior of the bag looks off. I can’t tell with the exterior though because of the photo angle but that color doesn’t quite look right under your flash either.

I believe this bag is fake. The stitching and trim on the interior looks off. Goyard retired the brown dust bags some years ago. The tag is also different than current Goyard tags.
