Calling for Tiffany DBTY owners!! Do you regret for not getting a bigger diamond?

Hi all, I just ordered a DBTY YG necklace with 8 point diamond today. I did compare it with a 12 pointer one but there were little difference since neither is on the big side for diamonds...

So now I started wondering if I made the wrong choice... I do want a subtle necklace for everyday wear, and I'm fairly petite. However I'm wondering if I will change my mind over time, like find it too small IRL...

So anyone here has the 8 pointer/even smaller DBTY? Does anyone regret for not choosing a bigger size because it's too invisible IRL? Thanks!

I got an almost half carat dbty, when I originally was going to go for around .2-.24. I am glad I went bigger since I really got used to the size already, but I do have to say I cannot layer it with everything bc of the size...a smaller diamond is so great for layering!

The good thing about your 8 pointer is it will make an amazing layering piece if in the future you decide you do want to get larger dbty!

I did have this kind of thoughts when I was deciding... I may get a bigger diamond in the DBTY style in the future, so maybe 8 pointer isn't a bad idea after all :graucho:

If you want to wear it alone, you might want to get a bigger size. I would go above 0.2 ct. If you want to layer with others, this might work fine. Love tiffany's dbty, enjoy!

Hmm... I'm buying this one for wearing it alone considering my current budget. But maybe it's better getting this tiny one first then big one later than getting a median one(like 12-20 pointer?) now :rolleyes:

if it's in the budget I would buy the larger dbty. mine is 0.08 and sometimes i wish it was a bit bigger, around .20?

Thanks Candice0985! I really need someone like you who have the 8 pointer one to share the experience... I really can't decide under Tiffany's lighting... Everything is sparkling no matter how big the diamonds are!

it will be sparkley in all lighting even at .08 points!

That's great news! So does it flip and move a lot? I'm not sure if it will, as it's a small stone seems not big enough to sit still?

I had mine lengthened to 18 inches because at 16 it was flipping. at the longer length it's not flipping :smile1:

but worth it when you see the end result! 16 is short on my neck, if 16 inches is a good length on you it wont flip as much!

I own a 0.07 DBTY in RG and I love it to bits.
It can be worn ALL THE TIME without clashing with anything else I wear. I also like the fact that when Elsa Peretti designed the DBTY, she meant for it to be just a tiny sparkle on the neck. it is beautiful when the diamond is smaller imo.

I got a .25 DBTY, in future, I hope to get a bigger one tho.
No matter what size, they r all sparkly!
Just enjoy what u've got.

Initially, I got the 0.08 yg dbty but after wearing for a month, I felt it was a wee bit too small. So, I went back to upgrade to the 0.12 one which I felt so much happier with.
