I got a delivery notice of my bag while I was not home, darn it! So I called the post office to see if they have it because the tomorrow after xx time is checked on the card. They said no they don't have it yet and won't get any more till Monday. Now all I can think of is omg my poor baby is sitting in some hot mail van all weekend. It is 30 degrees right now. Screw you Canada post! Why couldn't MK use a more reliable shipping company that would drop at the facility after their run or arrange for pickup like other services do!!
So pretty mad right now because I rushed home for nothing and now I have to wait like 3 extra days

I ordered a medium Selma satchel from the lovely new Canadian site. Ordered on a Friday and received my item on Tuesday. Shipped via Canada Post from Quebec to Alberta. No extra charges :)

Yes the medium messenger is one of my all time favourites!! Such a perfect size.
I also need a navy bag, such a nice colour, maybe a colette ;)
next month haha.... at the rate I am going I have been sooo bad.

So frustrating! i'm rural so i always get cards in the box unless it can be jammed in my box lol

The message on the card I got from the post office had "do not safe drop" written on it. Now unless they had this purse packed in a huge oversized box I don't see why it wouldn't fit in the post box for packages (I've had 2 shoe boxes in one package come in there before)
Does no safe drop mean they cannot put it in the post box? These directions must come from the shipper/ Mk warehouse that sent it
I used to be rural now I'm in the city and let me tell you postage has gotten worse, I swear I used to get packages much easier

I wonder if it has to be signed for? honestly sometimes they lack logic.. i have had VERY expensive things left in my box(which is a rural box at the end of my driveway) while others that were less valuable at the PO for personal pick up.

Ask? they maybe able to shed some light on why, frankly to bring out my snark there is a reason why most prefer not to use CP lol

I live in a small town with a post office. Mine arrived at the post office, no signature required. Your package shouldn't require a signature.
I also work for Canada Post, and the rules are different according to the sending company. No safe drop means they are not allowed to leave the package if no one is home to accept it. Does not always mean a signature is required, they just can't leave it for you if no one is home. My medium Selma arrived in a HUGE box so your box likely was too big to fit in your rural box.
Even though I work for CP, and I see a lot of issues first hand, most of what happens is for your protection. Although we all want our pretty MK bags right away, it sure would be a shame if it was left on a step when no one was home and someone came along and snatched it up :(
One more sleep and you'll have it ;)

Thank you that is helpful :) And yes it has helped me sleep at night at least knowing they didn't just leave it at the door, my front yard is very short it would be so easy for someone to quickly hop up to my porch and grab a package.

I think though as per usual there are good PO and others who are not. I used to have a great mail lady and then she either switched routes or retired... new one? yeah.. just gonna leave it at that. Same as in the PO i still technically live in a small town(till more houses finish lol) and find the same in person, some are great others ... no.

I realize it's like that everywhere... UPS stills wins the prize for my worst experiences!

She arrived all safe and sound in a nice box, all packaged up and wrapped up brand new, no floor model or anything. I took pictures of the box and packaging, but I cannot upload photos at the moment...

Overall it was a very good experience, it makes me want to order more!! Ahhhh lol

Congrats!! I also love unboxing new purses! Feels like getting a present everytime (even though it's already paid for :laugh: !)
