I would say yes it kind of has gone out of style, but then again if you love it wear it. I know the fabric, is much more light weight, but it is also a lot less durable, which is why they mostly have switched to coated canvas instead. I would say if you're looking for fabric, try the outlet, I don't think retail carries much in the way of it anymore.

on another note, I don't mean to sound snide, but it always baffles me that many people think of the khaki signature as "vintage" it only started in 2001. There are many things that distinguish a coach bag, the horse and carriage, the turncock, the hangtag, just to name a few.

Thanks, ladies for your support of the C's. I have a Coach collection which includes leather and cloth. In the last year I have developed arthritis and carrying a heavy leather is no longer possible, so I love my cloth. The leather bags will have to go on Ebay. Leather trimmed cloth hobos are just the way for me to carry a lot of stuff and not be in pain. I have a favorite one that was a sample. I've never seen it anywhere before except for mine and when I carry it, people always ask where I got it. My latest leather is an Edie, which is not too heavy, but I'm ready to change up.
I also love the cute purse charms and have many that I love to change regularly, and scarves to tie too. I am in my 70's and love all of my handbags and accessories.
I appreciate the response. I love the first bag shown and the color. I also love that you carry it and don't care what people think. I'm going to do the same. If I like it, it won't matter what anyone else thinks!

Lady, you're in your 70's, you have EARNED the right to wear what you want, when you want and how you want and the rest of the world can go pound sand....now go rock your C's!

Please be advised..... As a former Coach employee....If you love the c print I would go for a darker color bag as there isn't a way to clean soil from them.
Sure there is, spray 'n wash and a sink or if it's really bad spray 'n wash and a a washing machine. People do it all the time. Coach bags aren't delicate and can handle being washed. A lot of ladies on here, including me, have washed leather bags in a sink. Mostly older unlined bags, but I have done it with two more modern lined bags too and they came out great.

Wow... I'd never put a coach in the washer machine. But that's me.
Well, if it's coated in grime, it's either a washing machine or a garbage can.....and I have seen some really disgustingly filthy bags before. :amazed: So why not wash it? After all, it's just fabric and maybe a bit if leather trim. They rehab very well. There's lots of threads on it.

Makes sense.
Mine don't get that dirty so I have never had to try.
Plus, things I put in the wash rarely come out the same as they went in so best not to test my luck.

The newer energy efficient washers are just to hard on clothes. They save water yes, but agitate way to hard. Everything has to go in lingerie bags or it's just a rag when it comes out.
Oh, wow! My washing machine is fairly old so I didn't know that about newer machines. Thanks for the heads up for when I have to get a new machine. Is it one of those washers without the agitator in the middle of the tub?

It has an agitator.
No matter which setting you put it on it agitates just as hard. Only difference is length of cycle.
Can't wait to replace it.

I use a mild spray cleaner, like the kind I clean my counters with, or if it is really dirty, I'll wash it in the sink with dishwashing liquid. They come out just fine.
