Anyone with the C de Cartier PEARL necklace who can provide some mod shots? Are there are any cons about the necklace? Might order one ahead of the price increase. Thank in advance!
I just received mine last week! So far I don't find any cons about the necklace. The setting is beautiful! Here are a couple of mod shots. Hope it helps!

I don't have the pearl necklace; however, I own the matching Pearl Earrings in RG. The necklace and the earrings are both gorgeous.

CONS:
Pearls require more care and is not an "everyday" piece for me. I don't want them to get wet, or get lotion/perfume/cosmetics/hair products, etc on them as they will lose their luster. Therefore, I decided against purchasing the matching necklace as I don't want to take it off and on all the time, and I like my jewelry to be more "everyday" pieces with less hassle. Thus, I usually opt for jewelry with diamonds.

PROS:
However, I LOVE my pearl earrings and wear them on special occasions. They are STUNNING and very substantial so I don't regret them! The C de Cartier design makes everything look bigger. Another PRO, although don't quote me on this, is that I have not seen a price increase on these pearl items in many years as they tend to be less popular but still classic (and that's why I got my pearl earrings).

If you don't have a problem with the cons, I say go for it!

I am definitely contemplating getting the earrings as well so your opinion was very helpful. I ordered the necklace last week, but apparently the supply is low so it won't be delivered for another week or two. Fingers crossed the pearl items won't be affected by the price increase very much!

I waited 7 business days for the necklace to ship.

Hi everyone! Reviving this thread
Has anyone purchased or looked at C de Cartier diamond necklaces at a boutique recently? I'm curious how's the stock these days, are these hard to find? I'm planning to stop by at one of the NYC boutiques this week and wondering if I'll have any luck with these. I'm not sure what size I'd want, so I hope they have a variety of sizes and stones to choose from.
And a question for current owners - are you still happy with yours? Would you recommend it as an everyday, never coming off necklace? Any cons you discovered?
Thanks!!

I had a chance to try these necklaces today. They only had 0.5 CT and 0.7ct and some really tiny ones. I went in wanting the RG one, but after trying it on I realized that the RG on C de Cartier is much more pink vs. Clash. I didn't expect it to be so pink. It's beautiful, but I felt like it really clashed with my YG bracelets. I think I'll go for the YG option. I'm torn between the two sizes though. I feel like the smaller one has a good presence and looks elegant. The larger one definitely has more impact and the stone is stunning. I want to wear this necklace everyday, without taking it off, kind of like a love bracelet. For daily wear it seems like the smaller size is more appropriate. BUT I don't want to end up regarding I didn't go with the larger one in a few years. The price difference is quite substantial, the larger one is x2. Here is the photo of both. I would really appreciate any thoughts and opinions!
On a different note, I inquired about 1895 necklace, the SA checked on his phone to see if they had any in stock. They didn't... and he said that it looks like this style is not longer in production. The last time they had it was more than 6 months ago.

Love them both! May I ask what the pricing was please? I’m considering 0.5 pendant size. Also, I didn’t realise you could order them in YG, that’s good to know!

For the price difference I would go for the smaller one. It looks pretty big to me.

I got my cdc in March and have worn it everyday since. It is 0.5c in yellow gold. I was debating between the 0.35c and 0.5c as like with your sizes, there is a significant price difference. I ended up not liking the rose gold on the 0.35c since my jewelry is yellow gold. I didn't notice in the store, but in my home lighting, the coppery tone was more distinct, so I ended up exchanging for the larger size so I could get yellow gold.

From my experience, I can say that the 0.5c is a great everyday size. It's super comfortable and lightweight, I have no problems sleeping in it. I did also have the chain lengthened.

However if you are already concerned about having regrets over the smaller size of diamond bc diamond shrinkage is a thing and you can afford it, it's best to go with the larger size. You may initially think it's a bit big and flashy at first, that was my concern with 0.5c, but you'll get used to it in time. I feel like people rarely regret going larger when it comes to diamonds, but much more often regret going too small.

I read somewhere on the forum that YG starts from half a carat, but they had in store really tiny ones in too. If I had to guess they looked below 0.2ct. I'll share the price for your reference but the price will depend on all the specs of the diamond. The smaller one I tried on was 0.54 H VS2 $7,350. The larger one was a much better quality diamond 0.7 D VVS1 $14,600.
