Thank you![emoji4] Btw, it seems to be only for YG/RG, because in the boutique today they said that WG necklaces start only from .30 till .34ct, later from .50 and higher. The problem was, in the shop there was really a small stock and they needed to order the size I wanted (I would have to pay 40% deposit and wait about 4 weeks) What stopped me from making an order, those few necklaces they had in the shop were not sparkly at all!! (( Plus later when we checked their data I was really surprised that majority of the diamonds were far from perfect measurements, for example too big tables (more than 59) or depth are huge (I checked only the ones with excellent cut). It is kind of strange, I thought the stones selected at Cartier should be really perfect!
The only one diamond which was seems to be nice (I'm not a big diamond specialist, was just following Ame's advices how to choose a good diamond) and which was in my budget was 0.34ct, but I think it will be too small for me..plus where is a guarantee that after the ones I've seen this one will be sparkly and I like it? So unfortunately I left Cartier without ordering or buying anything(
I went also to Tiffany, but had too little time, Victoria necklaces looked really beautiful and were sparkling like crazy!!)) I was really surprised about the difference!
So now I'm more thinking about Tiffany, my favourite is the last one on the right on the pic (sorry for quality, there you can't see any sparkle, but trust me, it's there! [emoji6])
I'm still completely undecided, or I should save for a bigger stone from Cartier (I initially wanted a classic forever pendant) or I should go for Tiffany..

Interesting... I also thought Cartier had only really good diamonds, I don't know much about diamonds but mine are quite sparkly, my husband got them for me and they came with a GIA certificate but haven't looked at it... perhaps I should:p

What boutique did you go to? Are you in Europe? In Luxembourg, I have ordered a couple things to be brought on my size to try on and I didn't have to pay anything for it and I was not obliged to buy them if I didn't like them. Don't know if a special rule applies for diamonds but that would be strange, personally I wouldn't give any deposit for something I haven't seen or tried on, jewellery is so personal that you really have to try on to see if its something for you or not.

I loved the Tiffany necklaces in the picture, but Im always partial to Cartier, I don't know anything Tiffany and I have been in the boutique a couple times and tried on a lot of things but always left empty handed... I just feel like Cartier craftsmanship is superior to that of Tiffany, but thats just my opinion!

Seems like you are not sure of either one, so I would just wait and keep looking till you find something you love! Or maybe look for something else? Like a ring or a bracelet?

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Actually I'm not far from you, I'm in Germany. I was surprised myself about the deposit, they should anyway order more stuff as the choice in the shop was really small. Well, CA told me I'm not obliged to buy if I don't like it, but they can't return money either, just a credit note to buy something else.
To be honest, if the necklaces the had would be sparkly I wouldn't have a doubt about the quality and check GIA certificates for the new order.
Maybe it's something to do with lighting in the shop? On another hand good diamonds should sparkle with any light, no? In any case, I've checked only C de Cartier necklaces.
I also somehow always preferred Cartier over Tiffany (maybe because Tiffany has too many cheap silver items?) But seriously, last time when I've checked Tiffany necklaces, I was really amazed! I think I should go one more time to have another look![emoji6]
Thanks for your advice, but at the moment the only what I need it's a diamond pendant (thanks to this forum[emoji1])
You are right, I shouldn't hurry and should take only something I really love.

Its strange, I checked the GIA certificate and my diamond studs are VVS1 and H color... I don't know much about diamonds so not sure what it means! My husband just went in and picked the ones he loved, he doesn't know much about diamonds either:laugh: Good luck finding something you really love!

Check out Tiffany's bluebook collection, they have some pretty fab stuff.

Yes, that's correct, you can choose a nice clarity and colour, I was only confused with the cut dimensions and visual look. But I'm happy for you that you got the nice one which you like!)

In the cut it says Excellent. I guess it all depends on the diamond but I would expect Cartier has only nice diamonds, I mean for the prices one would expect so:laugh:
