Judge is momentarily catatonic staring at these images. She will wait until all are entered and then make the final call. In the meantime she has been transported to the ‘other’ more beautiful and gracious world where oldies go to live (and party) in Balenciaga heaven.

This was one of the most elusive bags. I could NOT find one that hadn't had corners repaired, or that didn't have soso corners, then one suddenly came up on Ebay and I finally got it. It took me about 5 years.

OH GOD .. does this mean that I have to wait 5 years to get my elusive Olive Flat Brass First???? Noooooooooooooooo :nogood::tdown::faint:

I used to have the Olive FB Hobo; I actually think you have my old one that was sold to another TPF'er and she put it up on eBay. It was a beauty .. did you look in my thread to see if it's the same? That would be way cool!!

Ceejay, I'm pretty sure this is not your Olive fb. I got it on Ebay and the seller was a business in the UK that takes things on consignment and lists them on Ebay and sells them( can't recall their name, but they sold lots of designer and high end items). It seems to me they deal in items used for fashion shoots or something like that but it's been several years and I can't recall all the details of the seller. They didn't even know it was Olive and listed it as chocolate. I asked for more pictures because the pictures were terrible and I still thought it was chocolate.

Even when I received it until I took it in the sunlight I didn't realize it was Olive until I saw the green stitching and sent pics to other PF'ers who comfimed that it was indeed and Olive and not Chocolate.

Since then, I finally did find a Chocolate in suberb condition but my Olive will always be my favorite because it was my first and such a surprise. The 2nd is never as special as the first to me.

There are 2 bags that I'm still waiting for. I have had a chance at both of them and I won't bore you with the details but for one reason or another, I passed on them or lost them when people canceled bids and ended the auction early to sell off Ebay.

I'm sure they will turn up one day, but if they don't, I'm fine with that too. They aren't holy grails, just ones that I would like to have.

^^ Yeah, I've lost out on some great bags because the seller ended the auction early; it sucks. Well, I had to wait 2 years to get my Apple Green City .. and it's still in the collection. It's just that it seems whenever an HG appears, one never seems to have the funds!

powder, gorgeous olive. I would love one of those too one day. Love the leather and colour.

For the moment I will rival your butt with my delicious s/s 02 black fb hobo. You're right, soft as soft can be. I wish pics could show how incredibly beautiful to touch these early bags are.
