The ever rose really is lovely!

Yes--I was surprised by my choice of it. I'm not typically a RG fan. I don't own anything else in RG. BUT... when I put this one on, my arm just loved it--it was the right one for me.

I had originally wanted the green face one with the diamond numeral IV in the 31. I found the 28 just suited me better. I am still, years later, extremely pleased with my choice. It has been a great timepiece and the style (to me, anyway) will endure.

This isn't my picture, it's from the web (Jaztime, and I did NOT purchase there, but it is copyright their photo). I have posted pics of mine somewhere else, but this shows the face so well--better than I could take of mine.

I love colored dials, but I’m scared of them. I’m that person that would lament over my clothes matching the watch or I wouldn’t wear it. I also love white faces but I didn’t love it against my brown skin.

I found the green to be enough of a neutral for me to go with everything, but you may want a more neutral face. For me, the green just goes with everything and it is a great neutral for me. Depending upon your preferences, there are other colors in the faces that could be amazing with your skin tone. The aubergine dial is really luxe. Also, the brown might be a great neutral for you -- I almost got that one--it is so pretty! These are from the Rolex site for the Lady Datejust.

The red one I just thought was fun.

I agree that green can be neutral, my aunt wears a lot of browns, creams, tans etc. so green would be great for her. I do love Aubergine, but the day I tried it on I was wearing an orange sun dress, it was not good for me. That brown is beautiful! Are darker colors harder to see? That’s what I was afraid of. My current has a silver face, my other has a cream tapestry dial. I need to venture out and do something fun!

I guess if you want a neutral, it is going to be "harder to see" because neutral. The gold numerals should give enough contrast. There is also a darker MOP if that's your thing. Not sure if that face is in rotation at the moment, but it has been. FWIW, orange and purple are secondary colors and are compatible on the color wheel. Might not be your preference, but they do go together.

I never knew that. I love purple and pink, but purple and orange makes me cringe. Kinda like black goes with everything but I hate it with orange unless it’s Halloween. I ended up with a silver face with sticks and it’s pretty neutral for my lifestyle. I think I want white next.
