Bulgari Serpenti Viper Bracelet Wear and Tear?

I have the full pave serpenti bracelet in rose gold. I think I’ve had it since 2022 or 2021? I don’t wear it every day. But when I do wear it, I leave it on 24/7 until I change out my jewelry.

I’m actually wearing it now, which has been on my wrist for the past 2 weeks. No warping to speak of. The coil inside is a thicker sheet of metal, instead of being a round wire. It’s much sturdier compared to the wire mechanisms in the Cartier small JUC, or Tiffany T wire bracelet.

Anyone has issue with Rose gold serpenti bracelet discoloration or rodium wear off? I sent in for service due to small spots appearing all over bracelet after few times of wearing. They did free diagnostic and cleaning. Spots disappeared. Now 7 months later, bracelet is kept in original box and never wear once since the cleaning, spot came back again. At that time assistant mgr said it could be from lotion or parfume. But for sure that is not the case since I did not wear it since the
Agree with Swanky! This looks wrong…. I’ve only seen similar spots on cheap 5k or 10k jewelry that are exposed to lots of chemicals over a long period of time.

Really disappointing. It is being sent to service center and hopefully the last time. Store handle situation well but Bvlgari is off my list. I lost the trust in their quality.

Thanks for the info! Just to clarify, when you say 24/7, do you mean literally 24/7 ie you sleep and shower with it on too? I’m lazy and like to leave jewellery on (or rather - can’t be bothered to take them off!).

I’m considering the full pave in WG, and was wondering whether anyone has heard of diamonds falling out? It sounds like a couple of people have had issues with VCA pave unfortunately so wanted to check if there are potential pave issues with Bulgari. TIA!

I have the full pave in RG (and the demi pave head/tail too lol). No issues at all!

Yes, I mean 24/7 — as in sleeping and showering. But I don’t wear it 365 days a year. I change my jewelry like every other week. Right now I’m wearing rose gold, but I think next week I’ll wear yellow. So then, my serpenti bracelet will be in a jewelry box until I reach for it again in.

Anyway, no problems. The stones are held by multiple bead prongs, and also set in a rather protective recessed setting. So I feel they’re rather secure. Also, the stones aren’t the micropave size where they’re smaller than .01 carats each. Overall, I would say this design is easy to wear often and hardy.

Thank you both!! That’s super helpful and makes me confident that I want to be saving up for the full pave. It might take a while, but I’m excited 😊

Is it a problem if the head and tail of the snake keep smacking into each other when you put on the bracelet or when it falls down closer to your fingers? I'm concerned about the amount of scratching, but maybe I shouldn't be.

The head and tail of mine touch and i haven't had an issue.

In terms of wear and tear, i've noticed that the head sits slightly lower than the tail - i think this might be because of the weight of the head.

Thank you! I've realized that the wearing the head closer to my fingers decreases the scratch frequency / intensity because of the head weight. I also started putting on the bracelet more carefully to decrease the touching frequency.

I did notice scratches on the head due to the tail scales clinging onto the head when you take on and off. Saw it on a few new pieces at store too. One day I wore mine to sleep and noticed a new scratch

I’m also considering the plain gold bracelet, no diamonds. I fell in love with it immediately after trying it on at the boutique. Would love to find out from those that already have the bracelet about whether it holds up well and is it prone to scratches?

All gold, especially higher karat, is prone to scratching. If scratches bother you keep a polishing cloth on hand, they work well for hairline ones.
