Bulgari Serpenti Bag. Is It Worth It?

Thank you! Yea I thought in the picture the print is something delicate but it is not. I don't think this would scratch easily. The leather is grained and soft comparable to LV empreinte but bit finer. The bag size is actually bit decent to my surprised. I have a Samsung 20+ and it fits inside with no issue. Also I love how Bvlgari didn't scaled back when it comes to bag interior lining every thing is made of soft calf leather including the zipper pocket and the outside pocket. I double checked the bags I recently purchased for the last 4 months with comparable sizes between chanel, gucci and lv only the Bvlgari has a soft leather interior but the price of the bag is not as painful as chanel. (Chanel is made of some cloth material, lv and gucci has a microfiber suede lining). Made me wonder are we being ripped off by other brands? hahahah

I'm thinking about getting my first bvlgari bag and have narrowed it down to the cabochon with sliding chain either in the goatskin charcoal or karung skin. I'm generally pretty casual in my attire but wear a lot of blazers and structured clothes like wool coats with jeans and a tshirt. I'm looking for a bag I can use as a day bag that can transition to night. Durability and aging well is important to me because I love to use my bags and not have them sit on my shelf!
I'm unfamiliar with karung skin and how to care for it so if anyone has suggestions on either karung or goatskin for semi-daily wear I would be so appreciative!! I'm planning on fitting this bag into my weekly bag rotation of maybe 1-2 days per week!

I don't own a cabochon as I am more into top handle but there we're multiple times I thought about getting one. Although, I saw the goat leather in the store and in my opinion the goat leather will be a good day bag as it is more casual looking and more durable than karung. But there's something in the karung leather that really attracts me to it. It is soft and smooth but not in a delicate way that it made me afraid to use it. The leather texture is so unique that if you touch it against the direction of the scales you can really feel the quality and its texture. Karung has this metallic shine to it that it glitters in a subtle way under the light. It can transition really well as an evening bag but very beautiful as a day bag as well. I carried mine for 2 weeks straight day and night and have 0 issue.I don't think it can get scratches easily. According to my SA if the bag gets dirty just wipe it with soft damp towel in the "same" direction of the scales. Never use any chemical leather cleaner or conditioner even the one that's very popular for repelling dust and rain. Make sure it doesn't expose to the water long (odd because karung is a water snake). When it gets wet wipe it right away. And carry the bag raincoat at all times.

And i agree karung is very durable. I have accidentally dropped my karung bag & banged the edge a few times and no marks thankfully!
My cream cabochon (i am not sure if it's goat or calf skin) is really beautiful too, a hint of iridescence really adds to it. Very durable & no issues taking it anywhere (even grocery shopping. I wipe it off w a white cloth & some leather cream & good to go)
I will say that i don't love the chain functionality so much. My Karung is a big bag & gets heavy so i feel the thin chain doesn't balance the weight so well.
And i wouldn't mind a slightly finer/less bulky looking chain on my cream one.
However i am very very sensitive to weight so that might just be me.

. I was actually debating between this and with top handle but I am sensitive to weight as well. The serpenti forever is a very structured bag and the cabochon is just so soft both I really love. There's so many beautiful bags from Bvlgari and they're gaining popularity.Your bag is SO lovely!! I also enjoy top handle bags. I was worried about weight as well. What are your thoughts on the top handle bag as a day bag? I was worried about its weight and capacity because of the inner dividers (even though I don't honestly carry very much with me day to day).
These are SO beautiful!! Do you think the cabochon bag gets too heavy for you? I am always concerned about weight since I have so much neck/shoulder tension that can trigger migraines!

I have a Samsung s20 + phone and it doesn't fit. But its a bigger phone. My friend tried her regular iPhone and it fits well with much room. It got 3 compartments so it can hold your basic. When it's overstuffed it looks like a snake belly that just had its dinner I also attached the pic of the mirror and its raincoat and I put some scarf on the handle as I love to put a lot of hand lotion.

The karung skin looks so special and the flecks of metallic are so enchanting. I'm so torn on which one to get now!
