What is their description of this version? Brushed, matte...? I'd like to update the thread title for best search results in the future.
Is it permanent?
Nice! Thanks for sharing these options. Super helpful.

For sake of commentary, brushed satin tends to show lots of scratches, too. I’ve seen too many beat up love bracelets and can’t seem to really get into it so I went with a Tiffany T hinged bracelet. It gives us so much sparkle thanks to the knife edge design, conceals the scratches, best of both worlds. I’m a firm believer that jewelry should be able to be reasonably restored.

My question is how durable is the finish? I had a matte/brushed finish ring about 20 years ago, and the finish wore off very quickly. I liked it shiny so nbd, but I can see people being upset if this finish wore off the new loves.
I was wondering that too. DH's brushed white gold wedding band became smooth fairly quickly (within a year or two) to our surprise.

So I stand corrected. I got to try this on in Athens and it's pretty cool. I don't think I will buy one but I did quite like it. View attachment 5849475
Hmmm I had initially said it was a NO for me but seeing it on you has changed my mind! I like it!! The screws are shiny though? Or maybe it’s just how it came across. Either way it looks good on you :)

If they offer this in the cuff I think I'm a buyer. Only issue I have is, how will you replicate the finish after scratches?
The same way it was placed there in the first place.

Step 1 is to apply a mirror polish
Step 2 re apply the finish via brushes/abrasives

The issue is that each time you polish gold you lose a bit of it so it's not something you can do a few times a year.

In contrast if they ever offer this finish in platinum you could take it in as often as you want to get it polished and re-brushed in theory. (this is what I do with my own platinum jewelry that has a brushed finish)
