I am a small woman (5'4", 126 lbs) a too large bag makes me look like a midget - I think small women need proportionate bags or their whole look is thrown off.

I agree, but I think with the right outfit you can pull it off. I think it depends on where the bag falls. You wouldn't want it to be too low.

Actually, this is a GREAT point that is being brought up. I truly beleive that the size you are should change the bag you buy. Like some ladies said- you don't want a bag that hugs your shoulder/arm and get's lost. You would not want to spend good money on a bag that draws attention to you the wrong way. And if you are shorter/petite, you may not want a huge bag that might hang funny or over power yourself.

Handbags accessorize your outfits and style- but you always want to make sure that you are accenting your 'goods'! That is why I always need to try on my bags and see how they make me look. Because what looks good on you, sure may not look good on me!

i'm not a small girl, but i'm not huge either and a small bag on my arm can make me look like a whale. the comparison of my body and a tiny bag is just not a good one - it makes the bag look smaller and me look bigger.

what can i say, i love the big bag trend. it makes me feel small.
