OMG my SA in Paris just told me that Hermes fired 2 SA's because they
Accuse them for "underground selling" of B and K's !
H claims that they take Tipps from Clients to offer them a B or K.
Now H Paris is very strict 1 K and B a YEAR !
All SA's are afraid to loose theire Jobs, so they play strictly by that Rule !

Scary :(

This does not surprise me at all. What surprises me most is that it was only 2 SA's that they fired and just in Paris.

I don't agree with the practice of bribing unless it involves small children and vegetables but it must be very difficult to be on a retail wage and to be offered huge amounts day in day out for just passing a bag a clients way.

It's not scary it's good! :smile1:

I knew it happened for a long time. Agree that more than 2 SAs must have been doing it. Good to know they don't dare to do so any more.

No it happend last Week !
My SA told me that they dont believe that these 2 SA's were doing that ! She said that she thinks that H just want to scare the other SA's so they play strict by the Rules.

I agree, this is good. Hermes seems really to be trying to more or less level the playing field by cracking down on resellers and now on crooked SAs.

ETA: Sadly, I totally believe that these SAs--and not only these SAs--were doing just this.

Is it 1 K and B a year? or 1K or B a year? and do they count this individually? or you would be count as one if you go into the store as a couple? Is the year calculated by actual date? like if you purchae 1 B/K this March, then you can't get another one until next March, or is it calculated another way? Can you share with me if you know? I am asking about Paris store only. TIA.

This is no surprise at all!
Why do you think there are so many brand new Birkins with latest stamps and colors for resale? Of course this continual stream of new bags will only be sustainable if a chunk of the mark-up goes to the SAs who continuously supply the bags. Unfortunately, the power and discretion H vested on their SAs indirectly breeds such behavior. I don't agree with bribery but SAs are mere mortals working in a very material world!

There is another answer to this question as well.

This is pretty good news ! I wondered how long H would go on and on supplying resellers ! And from what I can read here, some SA really deserve to be fired for gross misconduct. H's reputation and credibility is at stake, at that point !

I wonder what store those SAs worked for. Any info? Was it FSH? It'd explain why they sell bags to some people and refuse others.

Last time I was there I saw a family giving a small bag to the tall Russian SA. When I was leaving I saw her showing them several Birkins in the men's department. They told me no Birkins at all just 30 minutes before and offered me a Kelly.

 Love it!

I think in principle this is a great move. In practice, it would be horrible if these two SAs were falsely accused as scapegoats to teach others a lesson, but I very much doubt that was the case. H has to play by stringent employment laws like any other big business. It doesn't make sense that the company could or would fire people for breaching employment rules without having done its homework first in terms of evidence and whether they can back up the claims.
