Box shortage ?!

I just received a mini from 21P and when I opened the box I was shocked to see it had been wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap but no box. I contacted my SA and she says Chanel is having a box shortage and she’d ship me one ASAP but prob sometime in February. Has anyone else heard of this? Very disappointing that they can find time to keep raising prices but they can’t make enough boxes. The purse is fine but not a very luxurious purchase experience.

I had the same thing happen but thought it was just me. My classic flap I bought was wrapped in tissue and just a white cardboard box :/

Same thing happened to me. I just bought a bag from Bergdorf. I’m okay with it though, I’m going to throw it away anyway..

Same here. Ordered a statement flap from neimans and was told the same thing. Although, it was placed in a plain black box and wrapped nicely otherwise.

I didn’t even get it in an inner box, would have been a little better. It was just wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a shipping box as I had it sent to me from another state. I guess I wish I would’ve just known before hand so I’d be aware.

I ordered a classic flap through my SA and had it shipped since she is in a different state about two weeks ago. She asked me before placing the order if it was okay with me if they shipped without the box and that I would get a box later. I’m glad she was upfront about it and gave me the choice. I didn’t mind and it was packaged very well and they included a shopping bag at least.

Yeah, I think some SAs have gotten a little lazy and just think the bags sell themselves

Yep, my SA informed me that there's a box shortage when I went to pick up a purchase last week.

It's true LOL. mine came in the white box that Chanel sends the bags in to the boutique..

I just bought a bag from NM for the first time and even though it came with the box, the box was gigantic compared to the bag. I got some thin Chanel ribbon around it but no camellia. Disappointed in the wrapping, to be honest. My items from the Chanel boutique are always packed so beautifully.

Same here. They are short on supplies. I was told they will send me the black Chanel box when they get shipment of supplies. However I do not count on it. They will probably forget it.
I am just happy I got the bag and the color I wanted before increase and put the box they sent into recycle bin...

I received my bag without the box also, but I was informed about the shortage and told that I’d be sent one later so I don’t mind. Mine came in the plain white box for protection and a thin ribbon.

Wow, I'm sorry your purchases are coming without boxes right now. I wouldn't be happy, as presentation counts for a lot! I throw my Chanel boxes away but I still appreciate the packing.
