She’s from 94’ and was worth the wait 🥰 I now totally understand the what the love for box leather is all about!

Most people posting on this thread already think there is something special about box calf.
The shorthand BB??? always stands out and Hermes is often being praised for how it 'does' colours.
But box calf in one of these dark jewel shades is even more specialer.

I brought my BBB Sellier 30 to show a friend recently, and she said it looked like a mirror. She was all over it.

hi Box lovers, i am interested in getting a vintage kelly 20, and scouring the web for one in acceptable condition. Acceptable to me is that the leather is not dry/cracked beyond a good spa treatment. looking at the bag below, i have concerns on the sangle straps (i think the rest of the body scratches are "normal" - hope I am right) and would like more pair of eyes to give your view too. worth to get it or skip? thanks all!

One low-res photo isn't really much to go on :shrugs: but there are definitely cracks on those sangles. Most vintage K20s do tend to have some notable wear; only you can say what is "acceptable" to you.

Hi ladies .... Apologies for the late reply. Was traveling and just managed to take some pics of the HAC.
H. for H. ... The contrast stitching is orange. This bag arrived after 8-9 years. Was told HACs are unicorns now for SO and box leather is hardly offered for our neck of the woods.
Hermesdiorduo, PJW5813 ... Here are more pics. Interior is Fuschia Chevre. Thanks for your interest!

This is quite possibly the most amazing birkin I’ve ever seen

I have finally found my HG - K28 retourne, bleu nuit with ghw, birth year, box leather …but! I’m not sure about the structural condition. For all you vintage box aficionados out there, what do you think of the curve on the back of this bag? Is it “fixable” with some stuffing/bag liner? Or does it matter to usage of the bag?

I have similar issue with my K28 box (retourne) except my one is more on the front then back. I don't use it with liner. I only stuff it back up when it is not in used. Once it mishapes it won't go back to being perfect. Tread carefully. But your bag is very pretty 😊

Congrats on the purchase! Box Calf does not come in Bleu Nuit, however. This is more likely Navy or Bleu Marine.:flowers:
