Bought in Chanel boutique but I’m doubting the authenticity

Just accept the bag as authentic since it is from a boutique, or return it. There is nothing that anyone on this forum can say to make you feel any better. You won't use it if you think it is fake, so return it and let someone else enjoy it.

Yes I have and am enjoying my bag. Just knowing that someone has the same series as mine and with zipper with no brand/mark made my mind at ease. Lol

Thank you all for your reply! It has definitely eased my mind. It just all started with the serial code and the latest I could find online was the 25 series for 2018.

Internet may tell you a lot of basics like how many pockets it had, or dimensions, but not specifications. A fake bag from ebay may have the same serial number as a genuine bag.
People who brought the bag from a boutique, majority of them may never bother to check the serial number and share it online, in order for fellow internet users to confirm its authenticity.
Sharing this information in fact would assist counterfeit makers to update their database accordingly, in order to make the fakes more “real”.
I agree with @lipstick_bandit and @xxjoolisa above, how more real do you want this bag to be? It’s from the Chanel boutique!

I read a story on Instagram awhile ago that a lady purchased a Chanel purse in Kiev, Ukraine and it wasn't authentic. I missed the part how she found it out (she has a lot of Chanel, Birkin purses, other high end brand names, so maybe she just realized it on her own). However, I read that a representative from Chanel head office flown from Paris to have a meeting with her regarding this issue and she was very happy in the end.

Unless this lady is the wife of a president or some big shot politician, I find this story to be highly unlikely. I’ve never heard of anyone being flown in from Paris just to authenticate a bag.

Ooo if you can find the story I'd love to read it!!

Did they eventually find it in the system? Is it possible your husband bought it in a department store thinking it was legit? Apparently that was recently a problem in Malaysia. High end store, looked like authorized dealer, turned out to be fake...

After reading all these
I actually empathize op hubby
Must have big time regretting going thru this
Why men choose to ignore and act ignorance
There must be a reason
Yes, they eventually found it in the system after contacting the main store. The SA gave her card to hubby when he bought it so he was contacting her and she never replied to us so we contacted the boutique. It is a real shop listed in chanel website.

Hi,just to tail end this thread, all good questions and good answers - enjoy your beautiful bag and please do praise your husband for taking the time to get you exactly what you want, as your doubts may have stressed you both. Enjoy this lovely bag when you wear it and he will see you enjoying it and be happy that he made you happy (not stressed!).

What do you mean? If anything, he did something really sweet and nice by buying his wife a Chanel bag. How many women on this forum can say that? Most of us seem to either buy with our own money OR use hubby's money but have to hide our purchases to avoid any "questions" from the husband.
