Thank you so much for the photos and your review. I am still interested in seeing this bag (the DL) IRL. The price point is high but I think it is really beautiful.
Thank you! Yes I agree the price point is high but the bag is oh so beautiful.
This was an excellent review. Thank you very much for posting. Both bags are beautiful  I favor the TM styles, but i can appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of this DL hobo also.
Thank you! I lean more toward TM styles as well!

Yes, I :heart:the TM era bags especially the hobos and Cabat!
I wholly appreciate the intrecciato weave (not everyone’s personal preference I know) and I wish I had fallen in love earlier lol.
(Hindsight is 20/20 yes?)

The leather from that era is so soft and luxurious in feel.

Definitely been looking for those post-2014 styles
Yes I’m all about the intrecciato! The smooth leather bags are just not “it” imo

I do appreciate these differences in both hobos
Very grateful to have styles from both creative directors.
Thanks so much for this review. I’ve been admiring the DL bag (online only) and wondering what the wear would be like.

How did it feel under the arm? Besides looking like it sticks out, was it hard to be hands free? That’s why love BV hobos, the ease ...

@couturequeen
I would have to say in regard to ease of use, I prefer the TM hobo because it is so soft and ‘drapes’ over my body— I don’t worry about bumping it into things/people.

The DL new style hobo really does project outward given its significant diameter!
(It reminds me of the Parachute bag which I also own—it too has a wide diameter and not everyone likes the wide base but i do not mind)

One more pic to give an idea of how the DL hobo looks on the shoulder (this is the ‘larger’ size, there is also a smaller size available on the BV website).

I had my sister model it (I am photo-shy), she is 5’2” with a slender build.
(She loves this bag and also hopes it will soften a little. She doesn’t know about different brands but she notes the exquisite craftsmanship of this bag)

I believe this bag is designed not to slouch, no?
It's padded, just like the old "Bombe" bags back in '08/'09 (?). The intrecciato, or fettuce to be specific, has padding between the two layers. I would think the thickness of the intrecciato would prevent it from any kind of slouch.

I’m trying to find a vintage hobo with this handle style but having a really hard time! Any suggestions on keywords to use? I see you mentioned it was a 2014 model—did it have a different name?
This style is simply called a Veneta. Or Veneta Hobo
