Hi, Bougainvillea.
I don't think Cyclamen is available this season even for Special Order so it would be very VERY difficult to get it from a boutique.

It is definitely not available through PO so your best bet is the reseller route as ladyhermes suggested.

Hope it helps.

Thank you M! Guess everything has to work out step by step. Maybe it is not a right place to ask...there is few websites said they could 'order for you', but they charged a lot...like 1/3 more. Are they reliable?

Take your time to build your relationship with the Bond St store.

I can't answer your question about the websites you're referring to (you haven't mentioned any). I know nothing of them and have no personal experience.

Thank you, Mme CLMdeF!
I think I may just change my dream bag to a chevre birkin. Going to Manchester this weekend to see whether there is a nicer SA or not.

I agree with mrssparkles, you need to build a relationship with an SA. Pick a local store that you can visit on a regular basis, chat to different SA's and when you find one you really get on with, stick to that SA, buy small items from them and this will lead to you being offered other things.

Going to Manchester to find a nicer SA is not going to get you the bag you want. I doubt they would order this bag for you as a walk in customer they don't know.

I have never known either Manchester store have a birkin available for a walk in customer. I hope this helps to manage your expectations. Good luck

Hi, Bougainvillea.

Why would you like to spend 1/3 (I guess 2000 pounds) more for a Birkin when you can spend that money to buy little bits and bobs from a Hermes boutique and build a good relationship with a SA! I am sure a SA will be friendly if you show your genuine interests in Hermes products (not only in Birkin bags).

Be confident and try to find something you like in a shop (if any). If you frequent the shop, I am sure you will be able to find a nice SA in your local shop.

Buying a Birkin in London is not TOO difficult unless you want a rare colour (like Cyclamen) or a rare leather (like Chevre). So keep trying!

Good luck.

Thank you so much to all of you... mrssparkles, Ms Birkin, and Mme CLMdeF !!!
It really helps a lot!!!! I will take your advise... go to a local boutique every week and build a good relationship with a SA by purchasing small goods.

At first, I didn't relies how rare the Cyclamen colour would be, as well as Chevre leather. They were just what I loved the most... Chevre leather presents the colour so so soooooooo beautiful, i fell in love with the leather when I saw the swatch. sorry to be so unrealistic...

Hi
I bought a gorgeous pair of black men's leather boots in Hermes sale approx two weeks ago (wore them once for 30 mins!) and to my horror the insole (which is made of 2 halves rather than one piece) started peeling away on first wear. I took them (with box receipt etc) into Bond Street (not a first time customer, I have bought Kelly etc for g/f) to discreetly show the flaw to sales staff to repair/credit etc.

The sales person who saw them was very nice said all ok to repair etc until she said it would (a) be chargeable!!! and (b) Take 2 months to go to Paris etc for assessment. I absolutely refuse to pay for repair on something clearly a manufacturing fault, but she was resolute that it was a problem on a sale item that meant a charged repair - no refund/credit etc. I explained that she was not being helpful and that I wouldn't accept this quality on boots at £50 let alone at the Hermes price point. As I got nowhere with her, I asked her role, and unbelievably she was the head of customer service/relations at Bond Street - wow. I asked her very politely to bring me the store manager, so she vanished reluctantly to see the assistant manager, who was busy, but she came back humbly, saying no charge, and that they'd be sent to London workshop, not Paris, and this should (hopefully) take circa 10 days - watch this space. I am horrified at how awful the service was. I really fancied an Avalon blanket and new H belt, but going to let these slip now if that is representative of their after-sales
