hi everyone! I'm suffering with hair loss for quite a while. Tried different vitamins, high-end shampoos, professional shampoos, masks, oils... everything that could find in google search so far... but still loosing lot of hair and afraid that soon will be bold  please help! Maybe someone can recommend good body supplements (like some other vitamins or pills) will appreciate any help. thanks!
Ooh @candymina012, so sorry you got this going on. It's quite worrisome, which adds stress to the hair loss....not good!
I've always had the my father's side of the family hair, very heavy and thick, but there's been 2 occasions where I lost hair by the handfuls. The first was when I was very young & contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. High fevers can, and did, make mine fall out horribly, but resolved itself though it took some time.
Secondly, in the last 18 months I was on very strong medications for autoimmune issues and my hair was falling out so badly that I had to sweep/vacuum the bathroom floor after I showered plus get a plug to catch all the hair in the tub to keep it from clogging the drain. Additionally at that time my Vit D serum level was extremely low - which per my doc cause hair loss. My meds have since changed, I took prescription Vit D for months to build up levels, took otc biotin, Vit e, and the bundle otc supplement for hair, skin & nails. Even after the Vit D level rose to an acceptable level, I still take otc D at my physician's advised level (my meds tend to lower it so it's a constant battle). I use good hydrating shampoo & conditioner, blot never rub my wet hair, use a good brush with boar bristles, stay away from hi heat tools.
Sorry this has gotten so lengthy- I won't ask what your med issues are - too personal - but I hope you'll find something here in this thread that will help. Wishing you the very best, and if you want, please do keep us updated.

I use hair vitamins, vitamin d, emu oil, emu oil, grease and Mtg. I get a weekly conditioner from my beautician. I spend about $80 weekly at the hairdresser alone.

I eat spinach, nuts , drink water and force myself to eat bananas.IMG_20180930_191922_973.jpg

Op have your iron levels checked
You may have an iron deficiency.

You may need some biotin tablets.
Here is a picture of my hair.

You might want to try Cream of Nature shampoo. It is an ethnic shampoo. I remember reading somewhere how this Italian woman was suffering from hair loss. One day she told her black neighbor she needed some shampoo because she could not afford to go to the store the neighbor gave her a cup full and she notice her hair stop falling; of course she has to buy three bottles weekly.

Like @DeMonica said, go to a dermatologist (I say go to a specialist), who will determine the cause of your hair loss; different causes, different treatments.

Sometimes when the dermatologist or specialist gives you a pill to grow hair on your head it could make you have a side effect to grow unwanted hair in other places like the chin or a unwanted mustache. [emoji23]Glad I don't have that problem.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It can be so devastating. I'm sure that you have read all about thyroid and hair loss in your google searches. All I can recommend is if you are being treated for thyroid issues and still losing hair perhaps get a second opinion.
I just got bloodwork and my thyroid is under active. I am now on meds for this. I am also having hair loss but never made the connection.

Hi there sorry to hear about your hair loss problems. this must be very difficult for you. is it just hair loss you are suffering from or is it your skin and nails too?

- Massage your scalp on a regular basis with your fingers
- Massage your scalp the night before washing with castor oil (if you don't colour your hair, as castor oil strips colour)
- If castor oil is too heavy for your hair, try grapeseed oil (a personal favourite)
- Lay upside down to let blood rush to your head every once in a while
- Take multivitamins that include Vitamin D, Biotin and other B-Vitamins, Zinc and Iron (saves you from taking multiple capsules)

After my last post, I realised that some of these tips are not optimal.

My tips now are:

- Stimulate your scalp using a paddle brush/tangle teezer and/or scalp massager brush whilst shampooing. Using your fingers will make your hair more oily (unless you do this in the shower).
- Using a pre-shampoo hair oil is not a good option as it has the ability to clog your follicles which can cause more hair loss.
- Minimise the number of hair products you use. I now only use four products (shampoo, conditioner, hair primer and finishing cream). Product build-up can also clog your follicles which causes hair loss.
- Turn down the temperature of your hot tools, if possible. I recently swapped out my 20 year old GHD for an Evy hair straightener. The GHD only has one heat setting (185C) and now I am able to adjust the Evy to 170C, which causes less damage.
- I still recommend the multivitamin route, but also recommend to eat a lot of fatty acids (in tuna, salmon, etc) and also eating nuts and seeds (in flaxseed, chia, etc).

I decided to start vitamins and a hair scalp serum.
I got the density living proof one ( it is supposed to help with white hair ???? How who knows) which I use with Kerastase night liquid.
I am also not blow drying nor styling this summer.
Will see if by September I get results.

💯 re thyroid issues and hair loss. I found thyroid meds really did help. I also try not to tug or pull at my hair (no tight hair bands etc

Agree re vegetable intake and reducing sugar

Sorry this is happening OP
