I totally agree, they once sent me a survey in regards to the use of their site and my recent purchases. At the end where I got to add additional info, I made sure to tell them that there coupon codes are great however, not very useful with so many exclusions.....

There is promo codes for regular items. I missed 15% off for regular items in July.
