Just got a flyer in the mail today--private sale is 11/29-12/2. I don't have an SA so not sure when presale starts...

The flyer is supervague on everything:
take an extra 30-50% off almost all permanently reduced women's fashion apparel, women's shoes and handbags, intimates, hosiery, fashion jewelry and accessories, men's and kids fashions for a total savings of 40-75% off original prices. (Excludes women's designer collections, swimwear, fashion watches and select leased departments).
take 20-50% off a selection of regular-price women's fashion apparel and designer handbags, select men's suits, sportscoats and trousers, plus a great selection of kids fashions. (Excludes women's designer collections, the new view desiger collections, swimwear and select leased departments).
...And so on. My flyer included four $25 off $100 coupons (good for use in stores only) that have a ton of exclusions (no brands listed--just departments) and says that Loyallists will earn double points Nov. 29-Dec. 2.
Sorry I can't be more helpful...SAs might not know about it yet because on the back of the flyer it says "Postmaster: please deliver 11/24-11/27/2012" and I got it early...

pre sale for the private sale starts the wed. before the sale... you have to have a bloomingdales card in order to pre-sale... (I use to work for Bloomies and now i work for macys) and macy's friends and family started pre-selling last week... the 25% off includes basically everything including fragrances, designer handbags, and watches... the only exclusion i know of is makeup
.... if you don't want to pay shipping on an item... go in to Macy's and or Bloomingdale's and have them search and send it for you... because if its over $50 shipping is free, well at Macy's its free if it's over $50 and the associate will still make there commission so they will be more than happy to help u find the item.... also if you have a black Bloomingdale's card shipping is ALWAYS free...
