I agree here! I wore black for years and still love it, but the last couple of years I wear mostly brown, and I just love it...I'd get the brown bag. It pairs beautifully with so many colors--pastels, bright red, etc...lots of flexibility...

i always THINK yea black that's classic, functional, but then . . . look at my closet and i only have one black bag hehehe.

I guess i tire myself so much with the idea that i need to get bags in black that i imagine having 10 or so in my closet. instead i have bags in pink, green, white, signature, tan, blue, denim, etc. with the loner black all the way in the back (it's boring:p for me)

why not get strange or bright colors in accessories? i always play it safe in clothes so i deserve bags that are neither black nor brown.

just my two cents.

I have more bags in the brown family than any other color. It is my favorite. I only have two black bags. Coach makes the most beautiful brown bags and I find the color rich like a robust cup of coffee. Brown is my favorite color in clothing as well and shoes. I have only
4 pairs of black shoes and at least 20 or more of brown and other colors. I like my accessories to pop an outfit so I do like wearing red shoes and I own quite a few. I am now going to purchase the Ergo Hobo in Patent Leather. I am wearing a pink handbag today so I do like color. I find black to be just too bland for me although everyone needs a bit of it in your wardrobe.

I too am guilty of having too many black bags. I LOVE the look of the Coach brown bags but I tend to wear black shoes BECAUSE I tend to wear black slacks. Am I in a rut? Can you wear brown shoes with black slacks? IF you are wearing black shoes do you feel comfortable carrying a brown bag? In the summer I have "color bags" because I tend to wear sandals and slides in different colors. I love the deep shades of brown like the chocolate Optic print they had last season or mahogany leather. What's your opinion?

I wear mostly black so I used to only buy black bags, but I really am starting to like brown more and more. As for other colors, I could never buy a bag (at least an expensive bag) in anything but browns (including khaki, sig, etc) or black. I would be too worried about it matching my outfit. I have a green corduroy bag I got for dirt cheap at JCPenney a few years ago and I think I've carried it once. Nothing matches it.

sounds like my mom...she has tons of black shoes and bags, maybe 1 brown bag. Me...I have tons of stuff in the brown group...and 1 black bag that I carry when I wear black.
Black is just never my first choice, but I am determined to buy the black patent ergo as soon as I can. That bag is so beautiful...but then I found out it's going to come out in brown also...haha, but...I'm going to make myself buy the black one. :rolleyes:

i finally broke down and bought one it didn't matter to me that it didnt match my outfits...i still love it i just bought a new pink one....just cuz i needed a pink one

That's so funny! I actually have a hard time NOT buying brown. My eye goes directly to the brown bags every time. I've had to branch out lately with black, turquoise and white. Once you take the plunge, it gets easier!! :)

I am more of a black bag girl...my favorite Coach is the black-on-black signature (I'm not crazy about screaming CCCCC, but that's just me). I do have one khaki signature bag that I love, though. I also have a couple of blue bags because blue is my favorite color. I was talking to one of the SA's at Coach about my pond bag and she told me that she always tells guys who are shopping for their girlfriends to go for a blue bag because a lot of people's favorite color is blue.

im the same i wear alot of black and i have alot of black purses and shoes and 1 brown purse which is Coach and 1 pair of brown shoes. I wear them both every once in a while. I carry the purse more i had to force myself to buy it only because i didnt have a brown bag. but my mom she has a brown Kenneth Cole bag that she carried for like 3months straight and changed maybe twice but i just cant do it it has to be black of some other color. but im going to try and get another brown bag and carry it like the black ones. So i say force yourself to carry it.
