Centurion will only typically just call the shop and ask if there are any bags handy. I did manage to get Edith/Paddington from Chloe years ago when it was first launched and sold out globally. What they did was calling and calling the stores, and somehow the stores were willing to entertain them. With Hermes, I doubt that will work... U should try Harrod's personal shopper or Quinessentially. My friend was able to get one via them. I have never known any one who successfully got a birkin via Centurion.

Quintessentially do the same as Amex, they ring their contacts at H stores to see if any available.. They charge a hefty premium too, I think they charge nearly double the price of original bag. I haven't used this service but l remember an SA taking a call from them once when I was inshore and telling me about it afterwards

i really want the bag..but the premuim is insane. i'm just going to have to try my luck..i heard beverly hills isn't a bad place to start. so i'll just have to make the drive to rodeo more often. :)

Are you willing to buy a used one? There are some reputable resellers who don't charge a crazy premium.

I thought about it, but I would rather buy a new one..hubby offered it to me as a push gift. What if I have this baby before I find one? Hope he doesn't rescind his offer :*( !!! Crossing my fingers for something in BH or SCP soon (before August!) Wish me luck!

Oh wow! Congrats on your upcoming addition to your family! I also finagled an H bag out of DH when we found out we were expecting. :smile1: (Actually, I purchased for myself, but DH is a very good guardian of the bank account).

How about a trip to Honolulu? During my trip they had several (at least one every day I was there - I remember Raisin and blue jean 35s, a shadow, the alezan that I brought home, and more). If you'd even consider paying a premium, you might consider paying the airfare instead!:D

My friend actually did get a bag from Quintessentially, which sourced the back from the Hermes Shops in Nordic... and she did not pay any premium... She got a etoupe birkin 35cm but that that was three to four years ago, things may have changed. But Centurion doesn't work for sure....

Amex Centurion will not get you the bags at any H stores around the world. I used them about 2 years ago to try to get a H store in HK to sell me a bag even at a premium, and it was refused.
uscgirly is right to point out that at $2500 annual fee for Centurion should offer a set of privileges, but not all of it, and buying a H bag isn't one of it too. That's one reason why DH canceled the card as it's not acceptable in most places in China, plus $2500 buys a lot more than the value of the Concierge services. We're on Unionpay now...haha.

If you have a Centurion, it's better to travel around the world and visit the H stores to find that elusive bag.
Shanghai's Plaza 66 Hermes store brought out 2 orange Birkins last Sunday when i visited their store (i was the one with the BB Drag bag), i assumed it was reserved for their loyal customers.

Such a great idea!! But it's too late for me to fly now :( We already went to Kauai for our babymoon a few mths - I should've chosen Honolulu :) Maybe I can convince my parents or sis to go!
