I actually thought after Bill having been one of the Shooting Stars of the Berlinale he would do more European work. But apparently he aimed higher.

There's one European movie on the way IIRC. I think maybe Hemloch Grove surprised him a little bit but I guess we'll see in the future.

Btw has anyone seen Shadowhunters on Netflix? (I'm outing my terrible YA taste here :ninja: ) The male lead reminds me very much of Roman in HG. So much so that I wonder if they've written the character/told the actor to be Roman-like.

I try to avoid this one given I already had to "sacrifice" one good actor to the failed movie.

Well, given that the source material isn't very good ... both?!?!

:D

I think the actors in the movie are better and I feel a bit sorry for them, because what actor these days doesn't want to be part of a YA franchise? They ended up in a total dud, both because of the bad lead and a not-impressive script. The actors on the tv-show aren't as good but the script might be a tiny bit better than the movie.

To get back to Bill: I think it's good for him that Hemloch Grove is over and I hope the new movie (Alligent? Divergent? I can't remember..) works out well for him. It must be a bit difficult to move on from debuting with a bang, but here's to hoping he'll get good jobs in the future :smile1:
