Bill Skarsgard, Claire van der Boom, and Paula Malcomson will star in Alison Eastwood‘s Battlecreek. The film tells a love story about reconciling your past and finding your future. Skarsgard will play a talented young painter who must live his life at night due to a rare skin disorder. He strikes a romance with a young woman (van der Boom), encouraging him to challenge his overbearing mother (Malcomson) and the lies that surround their relationship. Anthea Anka wrote the script. Connie Hoy is producing under her Maindiner Entertainment banner with Eastwood. Red River Studios is financing the film, and its Michael G. Wallace is executive producing. Production starts later this month in Mississippi. [The Wrap]

Really? I haven't read anything that indicates Bill being a snobby brat, but I do confess I haven't read all of his interviews. I read a few of Gustaf and remember being turned off by his arrogance but who knows if it's all bad translations. That's why I take it with a grain of salt some of these translations.

I think it could be bad translation. Or some things do not come across really well in interviews. I've never met Bill , but Gustaf is a really nice and funny guy in person. He is very polite too.
Stellan and Alex are also lovely IRL , so I assume Bill is a nice guy too until I see proof of the opposite.

I haven't read (or seen) many interviews with Bill but I know that Gustaf's (print) interviews translate quite badly. Idk why, perhaps it's his sense of humour? It doesn't quite make it through translation IMO. It could be the same with Bill.

I guess so.
It seems that most people who met them / worked with them likes all the Skarsgårds.

:smile1:

The only thing you could accuse him of is not being aware of the privilege he has. Going back to the whole "I'm a starving artist and I don't have any money" thing but living at the Chateau Marmont. But given that that interview was a few years ago I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assume he has matured since.

I've read some things about his ego but who knows how true they are.

So this is Clint Eastwood's daughter? Hmmm... I don't know. I'm sure he can be all actor angsty with this role but it doesn't really sound like something I'm interested in watching. I've been punished enough watching Hemlock Grove.

He has a very unique look. Maybe there's some difficulty in finding mainstream projects. Or maybe he doesn't want to go that route.

Isn't it harsh calling it "utter trash". Utter Trash to me are most of the popular reality shows out there. I watched Season 1 and I didn't think it was so bad. It's campy just like True Blood or Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I have yet to see Season 2 as the DVD comes out next month so I'll see what I think then. I know that Bill has a lot of charisma and mainly the reason why I watch.

I think it's unwatchable. I have no idea what's going on half the time. I couldn't get through the second episode of season two.

Maybe the solution for me is to just watch it on mute and not even try to follow the plot.

Seriously, Hemlock Grove is bad! Like really bad. I made it through the first episode of season one and never turned back.
It's funny, even though HG is a Netflix original it's not trending at all here on the German version. Others do. :p

I have to agree. It is bad. It's so bad though that it's hilarious and Bill is very watchable, so it's something you can bingewatch and laugh at when there's nothing else to watch. No one takes it seriously - that's the saving grace IMO. Unlike uh.. other shows that pretends to be great even when they jump the shark. HG is just camp and can be enjoyed like that.

He's watchable. Yeah Bill pouting and working those lips are the only saving grace....on mute.

It's good for him to be on a show for the exposure. At the start it had a heavy promotional push. Netflix original programming is putting out some quality shows. Too bad Hemlock ain't one of them.

Hemlock Grove was difficult to watch. We got through season 1 with no desire to continue and a giant wtf look on our faces. Agreed, great background show if nothing else to watch. Wonder if he will try to move on to movies after this instead.
