I go to the gym and I wear spanx with some things. Idk how people wear spanx with pants though. That seems god awful/
Right! It's as if someone said, "only fat people where spanx" or "if you don't go the the gym you are fat."
How am I taking this personal!!!! I made a simple comment based on various statements commenting on Fat and Spanx. You seem to be getting more worked up about this than anyone. Shoulder shrug....

I'm fascinated with corsets and the structure of undergarments from like the 30, 40,50s.
Where did anyone say Spanx is for someone who is fat or even mention fat and spanx in their comments? I just went back and reread all of them and no one who said they don't wear, need or like spanx mentioned anything suggesting such. The only person to actually mention fat and spanx was the same person who said everyone needs them.
I'm not worked up about it but want to make it clear that it was not suggested by anyone and the first person to make such an inference was you.

Oh yes! I've been longing to get a really got corset for years but have no idea where to get it. I love women's underwear from that era but I've yet to get one that really looks authentic. Maybe Dita's line?
Dita's stuff looks really great, and since she's usually authentic to those eras, it may be a good start.
I weep at the thought of finding something else to spend my money on.

I'm not trying to sound rude, but what are they for then? I know that corsets are made to shrink the waist but I can't see any other function for spanx... Cause if you need spanx for cellulite, it must be one heck of a tight dress
It can be for just creating a smooth line under a dress...not about being "fat".

Yep smooth lines and structure underneath the garment. (especially in the girdle/corset days)....Ladies in the 30, 40, 50 weren't fat but wore them.
Also, 'spanx' has been around for agessssssssssss, but the Spanx lady just learned how to market them better.
