I had two pigtails and ribbons. No hot comb but a Saturday wash. I think it should be illegal to relax little girls hair. Of course I think that because in high school I went behind my mom's back and got a relaxer and my hair fell out. But those are dangerous chemicals
I can totally understand her dilema because she is too young for perms
BUT AT the same time I'm wondering if she's taking the natural thing too far. There is nothing wrong with pgtails, braids, these celebs act their kids are too good for common folk hairstyles

My BFF is Japanese and her DH is black; her girls' hair is beautiful but she cares for it meticulously and she has THREE of them to deal with and no staff, lol!
She's had to learn a LOT to care for it properly and each one has very different hair.

ITA!! i will not speak for everyone - but most comments i have seen were not about them perming blue's hair at all. just doing something to it. my boys both had hair that looks like blue's so i know what a job it is to deal with every single day.

I do feel bad for Blue's hair... I have 2 girls, my baby is 2 and they are both mixed. I don't braid their hair but it is brushed and combed (with lice repellent spray) every day. It takes a few minutes but it's all about teaching your child good habits - brush your teeth, wash your face and brush your hair - simple stuff.

My 6 yr old has a little friend who is always dirty, her hair is dirty to the touch and her clothes are always dirty. She has 1a (that is always down) hair and I'm afraid she will give my daughter lice- so that's why I bought bottles of the repellent spray. I made the mistake f touching her little brothers hair once and it felt like touching a dirty dog that was never washed...

Kelly Rowland Pregnant with Future Personal Assistant to Blue Ivy

:lolots::lolots:

Blue Ivy Carter, the infant daughter of Beyoncé and Jay Z, has a lot going for her. The composite genetic material of two of the music industry's most talented people. Wealth, so much wealth. One, perhaps two Power Wheels. Maybe even more than two Power Wheels, that would not be surprising, to be honest. The fact is, the life of Blue Ivy is an enviable one indeed. But it is FAR from perfect. For one thing, Blue Ivy has no siblings, which, yes, means that there's currently no risk of a more attractive and talented sister relegating her to the proverbial Solange role in her family. But it also means she doesn't have a permanent entourage she can refer to as "ma gurls" in her future song lyrics or who will appear in her future music videos or take future selfies with her when the future clubs are future jumpin'-jumpin'. What I'm saying is, Blue Ivy needs a posse. Well! It appears that former Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland has heeded that need (or at least has moved to honor a Beyoncé-decreed legal obligation) and has become pregnant! That's right, following her whirlwind romance, Skype engagement, and under-publicized wedding to a gentleman named Tim Witherspoon, Kelly Rowland has announced her pregnancy on Instagram! The cryptic announcement was really just a pair of baby Air Jordans next to a regular-sized pair and the caption "I'll be stuntin like my daddy."

"taking the natural thing too far"...what does that mean exactly?

Why do you use lice repellant spray every day?

The european lice can't live in black folks hair because of the shape of the hair shaft. I thought that was an urban myth until my kid's doctor confirmed it. And lice like really clean hair. But be careful if your kids are mixed. We didn't realize that my oldest had the white hair shaft until he got lice. It was my fault because I can look at him at see all that european curly hair growing out of his head and didn't keep on type of the lice prevention

How do you know she has lice? What is a lite friend?

I'm natural so Im definately not throwing shade
some grades of hair require more attention, Blue's being one, so you just cant wash her hair and walk out the door which I dont know if she does this but just because she isnt using chemicals in her hair doesnt meant she cant tame it

I didn't think you were throwing shade. I just honestly had no idea what you meant.

Maybe she doesn't want it "tamed" perhaps? I'm actually surprised that Beyonce chooses to leave her kid's hair natural and free...for many folks, that's not a pleasing look for them or their children. Figured she would had her kid's hair braided, twisted, etc...anything but letting it's actual natural state show for the world to see.

yep!thats why im thinking maybe she does want that unkept look
i think the shock is just what youre saying people are probably expecting Bey to have Blue in all these elaborate hairstyles because she's queen b-I'm just praying for that poor child cause if she is tender headed whooo I could see why Beyonce may not want to do too much with her hair
