Me thinks that this person cared way more about getting a chunk of cash than their job. Perhaps they just DGAF about their job or that field anymore. Shrug. I haven't read anything about a lawsuit or a name being released so far.

True. Also, my friend who works in HR mentioned in NYS employers are not allowed to ask other employers why the person left or were fired. They can only verify dates that you worked there. She is not sure what other checks a security position can ask for beyond background check.

I'm in HR/and make hiring decisions and that's with any background check. when I verify I only ask for dates, if the person on the other end of the phone wants to divulge additional information they can and depending on company policy and hiring requirements additional information can be used against the potential employee. In those cases its not state specific but employer specific.

I once worked for an employer who wanted to know the dates and what kind of employee the person was. Once the lady on the other end of the phone started talking about how he cussed her out a few times and he was aggressive, I had to report back to my boss with the findings and they ended up not hiring him. Crazy I know

I know of someone (my old company), who stole money from the company (she was the VP in accounting). She got fired and got a new job in a matter of months (same position). HR was never asked about why she was fired, only dates. It may be a state to state thing.

My old boss was also fired for illegal activity and got a new job without getting busted. She didn't actually take money, but was abusing her corporate card big time and abusing her employees.

I think a lot of states are that way. A previous employer can only verify dates a former employee worked. That said, I think there are still ways to get around that, perhaps by the potential new employer asking the previous employer, "Would you rehire Jane Doe?"

That's why I said state specific and employer specific. It also depends on if your company is using an automated work verification line to verify dates, alot of large companies do. You just call an 800# and you can speak with a rep and they can only provide dates. For me when I do employment verification's 800# is so much easier because I don't have to play phone tag with someone. But there have been a bunch of times where I speak to someone and the give up all the goods lol

Has the Rachel Roy dirt made it to tpf?

If not here we go (I haven't checked every page of this thread -- mods feel free to delete if this has already been recapped):

* Rachel Roy interns at Rocawear and fools around with Damon Dash and Jay.
* Eventually Roy and Dash have a daughter.
* Dash leaves Roy for Aaliyah, his supposed true love, who is now ready for a real relationship.
* Aaliyah passes away, Dash returns to Roy, they have another daughter and get married.
* Dash and Jay experience a falling out (P.S. prior to this Dash/Roy divorce -- I believe they were only married '05-'09 [older readers may remember the two were in Vogue, Bazaar, etc. a lot as this was when Roy's high end line first took off]).
* At some point Jay begins fooling around with Roy again -- whether Beyonce is privy, I have no idea and nothing to theorize here. (I do not think so because I remember Roy having Solange as her guest at the Met gala, which prob would not have happened even if the wife was looking the other way -- but who knows!)
* Elevator incident happens.
* Days later Beyonce posts a pic in an Aaliyah T-shirt.
* Days later the elevator incident goes public.
* Dash shows support for Solange via a tweet that says 'she's a fighter' or something to that effect.
* Us Weekly reports the fight stemmed from an argument that happened at Roy's table, which Beyonce then later Jay both tried to stop.
* Yesterday Roy tweets 'my beach is better,' a Jay lyric. Only trying to capitalize off the incident? Possibly.

Theory: Jay has been fooling around with Roy for awhile and possibly wanted to go to Rihanna's party with or without Bey and Solange and Roy would be there thus Solange decides enough is enough.

All of this is conjecture obv but I do feel a lot of things connect too much for us to say it's coincidental.

Thoughts?

Such a violent reaction for something that would be none of her business.

I don't think that was the reason.

Agree. Solange went with Rachel to the Met Ball a few years ago. She would have known about Rachel/Jay/Damon years ago so why get mad about it now. That's stupid.

This timeline is very interesting, and true. I remember all of these rumors when they occurred, too. Whatever the reason behind the incident was, it's been the most fascinating celebrity news I've seen yet. The Carters have sooo much to hide, no wonder they're so adamant about privacy

Yep! I'll never believe Bey was pregnant with Blue Ivy.

This Rachel Roy this is possibly the most ridiculous of the rumors. It only has legs because of Wendy, who is no longer reliable in the gossip news world.

Jay could've easily said something about Solange's parenting skills. That would set anyone off.

That's what I was thinking. It was something personal to her. I immediately thought it was about her child with the way she reacted.

THAT rumor is the only one that makes sense to me - that he said something about her mother skill or lack of.
