Beyonce and Jay Z

I wish people would stop making assumptions and stop the rumor mill, about a little kid for Christ's sake. Does anyone know any of this for facts...?

1) Who says she was/is "groomed" to be a performer?
2) Who says she isn't in school? She could be a 4.0 student who skipped a grade, for all we know. I'm sure Bey and Jay have the best personal tutors for her.
3) Who says she doesn't hang with friends?
4) Who says her parents "wanted this" for their child? Maybe Blue Ivy aspired to be like her mom, and begged to be given the opportunity.

Did we say the same thing about Brittany Spears, Aaron Carter, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Neil Patrick Harris, Fred Savage, Macaulay Culkin, Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, Daniel Radcliffe, Demi Lovato, Ben and Casey Aflek, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning, Ariana Grande, Judy Garland, Shirley Temple, and the countless other child actors/musicians/celebrities?

Do we make the same criticisms of the above people, or do they get a special pass just because people don't love to hate their parents for whatever reason? 🤔

Beautiful, knew she would be... but her strutting is all performative. There's nothing there, other than she's been taught well and she's a good student.

Why are they encouraging her to do this? People in the audience are excited because of who her mother is, not because she is imitating her mom and rather stiffly too.

She's still very young - I wouldn't expect anything more from her, and the peacock striding just reeks of nepotism.

I mean, come on Beyoncé! You abandoned your core audience and charge over $1500 general admission pit tickets with no effing seats. Stop it! Yuck and more yuck. LA has more pressing matters, like cleaning up after the fires, Mothers Day, having good taste, Beach Fest with Lenny Kravitz, et al on the Beach for way cheaper, less poser fools and we know all the songs.

I wish Blu was allowed to be a kid. She's 13 she shouldn't be groomed to become a performer. She should be in school and hanging out with friends. I also can't imagine why anyone in the industry and all the things that they have seen would want this for their kids.
I suspect she wants to do this but that doesn't mean she should be encouraged to do it

I mean, yes, certainly the same criticisms have been made of many of those people (although the Afflecks went to college) but that list is also an interesting cautionary tale for those who get into the industry too early, isn’t it? Beyond Fanning, Casey Affleck and NPH - that’s a graveyard of train wrecks (not of their own making) that doesn’t speak well to getting into the business too early. All of them had to fight some serious battles to get where they are now. Some of them are still fighting.

I don’t know Beyoncé or Jay Z, I’m sure they are loving and caring parents, but we have an epidemic in society right now of children’s mental health being damaged due to the pressures of social media. As such, it doesn’t seem (TO ME) to be a wise idea to push, encourage or assist a child into the public spotlight, and the ensuing public scrutiny, at such a young age. Especially when she will want for nothing.

There might be a difference with child actors auditioning for roles and a child who gets put on her mother's stage in order to imitate her, using her exact steps and poses.

At the end of the day, we (especially I) have no idea.

Most of the young performers you mentioned have serious issues as adults, whether it's drugs, alcohol, mental breakdowns, sexual abuse, eating disorders, etc., etc., etc. IMO, kids should be allowed to be kids and if I was Bey or Jay Z, I wouldn't want my kids exposed to more than she probably already is. Early fame/fortune can be deliciously enticing, until they're delirious with major issues.

agree...she wants to be like her mom. but she probably won't measure up. IMO never to be humble opinion they should have her be a kid and focus on her education
