Yes, I find all the positive feedback fraud sellers receive surprising as well. I’m guessing it’s because people just don’t know they purchased a fake.

Euroluxe is another fraudulent seller who sells many Chanel jackets on eBay and Vestiaire. When I received a jacket from her last year, it was an obvious fake that made it through Vestiaire’s authentication. I have a post with the photos in the Chanel RTW thread.

Timeless Luxuries was the consignment that notified me that the white SS19 jacket was fake. It is their photos in my original post. So there are honest consignment businesses out there.

I am not sure, the item I got was not even a good fake, the pictures were good, so I doubt that people weren't aware... I think to be happy with that item and leave good FB they must be totally clueless about the brand, with a superfake I could understand it that somebody might be fooled but not with really horrendous fakes

Omg! This sounds like a big operation not just one person selling some cheap looking knock off. You should also report them to Instagram. Thank you for the warning! Everyone is buying off Instagram these days including me( only from SAs) so good to know

Omg, I don’t usually buy preloved but I got the My Lady Dior on Vestiaire Collective last year. Now I’m a nervous wreck. I did use my sister’s Lady Dior bag (which was purchased from the boutique) for some time and I did go to the store to try the bag on a few times so I thought I knew how to tell the real ones from the fakes. However after reading your post, I doubt I can tell the difference from a superfake. I have 2 more preloved items that I just purchased from Fashionphile and they will get here tomorrow. Finger crossed that those are real :whut:. I don’t think I’d be brave enough to buy any more preloved items. I don’t support fakes and definitely don’t want to own one. It’s just too much money to lose and too much stress for me to handle.

Karena, I am a ‘victim’ buyer of Euro-luxe on eBay as well! I purchased a Chanel 15c jacket from her for US$2,000 in Nov 2018 only to find its super-fake today. Given it’s already 15 months, way longer than eBay’s 180-day protection policy, I don’t think there is anything I can do to raise the dispute and recover my financial loss.

However, I feel obliged to warn potential future buyers as well as maybe some official warning to her - I find almost all her listing of Chanel RTW in recent collection are likely to be super-fake and there are still average 4-8 sale every month! Her listing on vintage pieces seem to be authentic though which is a tricky and doggy way to even more confuse potential buyers. Is there any suggestion on how I can remind other potential buyers?

Good morning ladies, your thread was brought to my attention by a friend. I apologize for the lengthy dissertation below, it is long & in depth.

I am Danielle of Euro-Luxe. I would like to address everything mentioned in this thread & will continue to keep up with it, as long as needed. A brief history & background. We have been selling on Ebay since 2002, for the last 18 years & are now one of the most well known & respected haute clothing sellers. I would venture to say, probably one of the top 2, in the Chanel realm to be honest & the "go to" place for pre-owned Chanel jackets.

We have 100% positive feedback, which is very hard to attain in an 18 year time-frame. Many of our Chanel jackets have been taken to Chanel boutiques to get altered, over the years. Many of the lady collectors who purchase from us are tiny & have the armpit area altered directly at Chanel, especially ladies from Eurasian countries. We have a lot of repeat customers who buy from us, wear them & then consign to other luxury resellers.

We sell items we purchase to specifically flip for the business & we also sell items for many people. At least half the items listed at any given time, do not belong to us. We list them & only take 10% commission. All other luxury sellers on the internet charge significantly more commission. Those of you who sell your items on certain sites pay anywhere from 16% to 40% commission to these sites. However, we list for people & only take 10% commission, which helps us build feedback & repeat customers. I do it as a courtesy & have always enjoyed it.

However, I take responsibility for every item listed under my name. I have always been very kind, honest & honorable. Anyone who knows me will tell you, I am brutally honest & forthright. I do things with great care & precision on Ebay. I go above & beyond to create beautiful listings, have great communication with buyers, perfect packaging & give buyers an overall 5 star buying experience. I take listing items seriously & am a conscientious seller. I am a perfectionist by nature.

We are primarily a vintage dealer, 80% of the items we have listed at all times, are from much older collections (circa 80's & 90's). We specialize in vintage Chanel & I try my best to buy mostly that. I am a collector of vintage Chanel myself & love it much more then the newer pieces. The older classic pieces have great history, provenance & rarity. I find them more classy & collectible. I was heartbroken when Chanel stopped stamping the back of their buttons, many years back. I prefer the older Chanel jackets with the 18K or 24K gold plated Gripoix buttons that are stamped. They are magnificent.

Until the year 2016, we were listing mostly vintage haute couture, mostly Chanel. In the last few years I have started to buy pieces from the newer collections from different sources & also list for others the newer pieces. The problem now is, there are many "as you guys would call it" superfakes out there. I am finding that it is nearly impossible to tell, there is a fine line & ambiguity or haziness. They have literally been borderline perfected, so it makes it impossible to 100% tell.

I do as much due diligence as possible before I list any Chanel item. Here are some of the things I do, for example.

1. I try to find as many pictures off of social media of the actual item to compare all tags & labels. I try hard to find someone who bought the jacket from the boutique, to compare before I list. I look at numerous pictures everywhere before listing & check all details many times.

2. I call Chanel customer service & confirm model numbers, material codes & color codes are correct. I have even dealt with 2 different Chanel S.A.'s in the past & they were very helpful. They went above & beyond with info & pictures. Now sadly, they will no longer do that. They have gotten stricter.

3. I send pictures to 3 different Chanel collectors on a regular basis, who buy directly from boutiques, so they can tell me their thoughts on a particular piece. They have enough knowledge to authenticate after collecting for 15-20 years.

I do not use authenticator services now, because they are known to make mistakes. They often say fake items are real & real items are fake. There is a fast turn around in the authenticator realm & many are not well trained in all years/ eras or collections. They are at 1 job one day & are gone the next day, working somewhere else. I have heard numerous stories over the years about how authenticators have gotten it wrong. Even a famous & well known H authenticor got it wrong recently. You guys are familiar with that story.

Superfake items have also been passing through large, popular luxury re-sale websites & are authenticated. So when someone like me buys something & believes it is authentic & then tries to sell it, a problem can occur. There are a lot of items currently in circulation, that are questionable. I will be honest & say, I see questionable Chanel items listed on Ebay each day, by well known luxury resellers. I have seen questionable items from all the big, haute couture clothing sellers on Ebay. No one is immune honestly & many people simply are not aware & do not know they have purchased & listed a fake item.

I personally cut contact with certain vendors I purchased from a long time ago, I thought were selling both real & fake items at the same time. I thought they were mixing them in their inventory & just stopped cold turkey.

As for selling on Ebay, I personally do the listings on Ebay & sell my own items, items that belong to family members, friends, repeat customers, bloggers & even celebrity blogger. The items I personally purchase for the business & list are purchased from many sources. I spent over $150,000 last year on haute couture for the business & it is listed as "cost of goods purchased" on my 2019 tax return. I just saw my accountant this month & that info can be verified on my tax return.

I do not buy any items from China or any other Asian countries. That can be verified if necessary. I stay away from purchases from China, precisely because I know all the super fake items come out of there. There are some great vintage stores in China & Japan, I have seen over the years online. I have been tempted to buy some great vintage pieces like circa 1990's but, do not feel comfortable buying from China or Japan.

I buy items from other reseller websites (many that you are familiar with), from other Ebay sites internationally, vendors/ distributors that have actual stores in this country & oversees & from many repeat costumers.

I started selling on Ebay in 2002 personally family items. I am not new to the luxury scene, My mother & aunt have been spending an exorbitant amount of money on luxury items, mostly Chanel since the late 1970's. My aunt is still a VIP customer at Chanel in Monaco & I spent a lot of time in the boutiques growing up. I have an extensive background in haute couture from all designers & originally started listing on Ebay their personal items from designers such as: Chanel, Hermes, YSL, Dior, Escada, Gucci, Pucci, Celine, Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Lalique, Cristofle. The list is endless honestly.

I am not some luxury seller that just started to list luxury items yesterday, has no background or experience & is just throwing things up. I personally have an extensive amount of knowledge, experience & background. However, I am not God & am not perfect. I take full responsibility if someone says something is not authentic, as long as veracity is involved.

Most of you ladies go into the boutiques like clockwork to view each collection, each season. I am willing to work with one of you on a regular bases, if someone wants to help me. I am offering an idea in good faith below.

If one of you ladies wants to exchange info with me, I would be glad to send pictures of each Chanel item I am getting ready to list from now on, before I list it. That way, you guys who shop regularly in the & are borderline experts can take a look & give me feedback. I can send large, high quality images for one or more people to peruse. I am trying to be pro-active & hope someone will want to help out.

JiaoJiao, if you believe your 2015 Chanel jacket is not authentic, please contact me for a refund..I will take your word it is, as you say, not authentic.

We have one of the finest collections of pre-owned Chanel jackets on Ebay. I am the most proud of our vintage jackets listed. I will not have the good name & business I built for the last 18 year tarnished. I have been brutally honest & pro-active here.

My worry now is, one or more of our competitors or someone jealous will come out of the wood work to destroy us. I am also concerned that every single person who bought something from us in the last 18 years will be paranoid now, from a mini sweep of pandemonium. I put my heart, soul & endless creativity into Euro-Luxe on Ebay. I am heartbroken I even have to write this post. I am kind & believe in karma, I am just in life.

I can tell you that just about every Chanel dealer on Ebay will want to take us down. We have taken a lot of business from other dealers, because we rose slowly. This is not open season on Euro-Luxe.

In the last 18 years, I can count on 1 hand how many people contacted me & said.. hey Danielle I am not sure this item is authentic. Our track record is exceptional, so if people want to randomly bash us, so be it. Any libel or slander will ultimately end up in arbitration.

In closing, I want to apologize to Karena & Jiaojiao, if they believe they purchased something that is not authentic. Over an 18 year period, logically speaking, items will fall through the cracks with ALL resellers. That is just a fact.

I hope one of the most well versed Chanel RTW members here will contact me & offer to look at each Chanel item, before we list, as I mentioned above. I look forward to it.

Also.. I will gracefully respond to fair, meaningful & honest posts on this site. I will not respond to any dishonest, bogus, unfair or slanderous posts.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, ladies of PF. I know many of your are regulars & are quite active here. I am familiar.

Sincerely,
Danielle A

I didn’t expect Danielle to reply so fast and in so much details, but at least this is a good thing than bad.

As I’m a fresher at PF, before replying under Danielle’s post, below are some quick facts about my experience relate to Chanel.

I am based in Hong Kong. In the past 15 months, I have bought more than 20 RTW pieces with my full name on the receipt and a few more accessories and bags, from either Chanel Lee Garden Store (Causeway Bay, Hong Kong) or Chanel HarbourCity store (Canton Road, Hong Kong).

The Head of Retail (aka store manager) at Chanel HarbourCity (largest single Chanel store globally) is a very, very close friend of mine. He joined Chanel from a LVMH brand in late 2018. After he joined, and as my purchase records accumulated, I have become an entry-level VIP at Chanel HarbourCity Canton Road.

Photo proof below, for the Chanel VIP events I was invited to attend recently (I covered my face with the cat). All held and invited by Chanel officially.

La Lausa music and cocktail party held at the Chanel Harbour City Store, Nov 2018

2019 Pre-fall private preview held at St Regis Hotel Hong Kong, June 2019

2019 FW Haute Couture private preview, Galerie Perrotin Hong Kong, Sep 2019

2020 ‘Train station’ cruise private preview and cocktail party, Pedder Building, Nov 2019

Then photo of some of my purchased RTW directly from Chanel Lee Garden and Chanel HarbourCity Canton Road. Everything in the below photo is purchased from the 2 stores, with my full name on the receipt, no exception. (I actually purchased more, but sold a few off on VestiaireCollective as well as leaving a few pieces to my other residential place, so below is only some selection. I have not included any piece I bought from reseller)

Two recent receipts from Chanel Canton Road with my name.

Me trying on the cardigan purchased in receipt 1 at Chanel Canton Road. It was actually the VIP Christmas sale in Dec 2019.

I hope the above proof gives our PFers some confidence in me not being an unreasonable and emotional shopper who has limited real retail experience in Chanel as customer. I am quite confident to say that I may not be an expert in all collections, but I do have reasonable insights and knowledge into the recent collections.

Danielle, good to see your reply here. I would always appreciate to have honest and transparent communications.

Although I also remained highly doubtful in some of our other attempted transactions (I can discuss with you separately by private message, if you don’t recall which transaction I talked about, unless you’d like me to discuss here), I was impressed by your good services and had always trusted you as a friend, which is why I never thought about doing a second close check on the Dubai jacket (to be fair it was good quality in the first look).

Until yesterday - a good friend, also a big fan of Chanel, talked me through how terrifyingly similar these days the Chanel super-fake jackets can be made to, and that any online purchase must be checked against label and laundry tag for at least twice. I then started to check my online purchases including the Dubai jacket, and I was shocked to find out that the label of the Dubai jacket you sold me do not match with many other authentic pieces from the same collection.

I feel very sorry that based on your statement you might also be a ‘victim’ along this complicated luxury resale value chain, that you were not known to the super fakes received from upstream vendors. If that’s the case, you have my full sympathy.

However, I do not believe this Dubai jacket you sold to me is authentic, and I do not accept any potential explanations like ‘this is a special made-to-order item’, ‘this is a sample item’, ‘this item was sold in the Middle East store, so label was different from Paris and Hong Kong’ (you have passed similar message to me before on a questionable item). I do not believe these are legitimate explanations for the recent RTW collections, given my VIP experience at Chanel.

See below photo for the inconsistency and comparison. The one you sold me was labelled with ‘EL’ (short for ‘Euroluxe’) in color orange.

Additionally, Danielle, I would like to thank you for the good service you have provided to me - the fast shipping, comprehensive package, always-efficient communications etc which I truly appreciate and which is why I think you get 100% positive feedbacks on eBay. However, please remember that as a luxury reseller, guarantee of authenticity is ultimately the best service and the only thing that matters the most. If in doubt, maybe no sale. That’s the best services a reseller can provide, after all you are considered to have more professionalism and knowledge than customers and it shouldn’t be the customers who bear the risk of faked goods.

Good afternoon ladies; Jiaojiao & Karena,

Karena when I listed that jacket on VC, I was an individual seller. I had not signed a contract, as a professional seller with them yet.

I listed the jacket, which I bought & take responsibility for. It was sold to you in 2018 & you returned it to VC right away. They did NOT tell me it was even returned. I had not idea it was returned, until my friend saw it listed again by VC of NY on their screename on the VC site. They relisted it & did not tell me it was returned.

I ASSUMED it was returned due to size. I originally noticed it was narrow & even thought may have been altered at some point. At the time, I was surprised it was returned to them, because it was gorgeous & a popular piece. I had no idea you returned it due to authenticity, until recently after becoming familiar with this site.

I was not familiar with & not active on this site, until just a few days ago. I am very hurt & heartbroken by things I have read here,.

I had rose-colored glasses on until the last few days & was oblivious to the (negative rhetoric, vicious verbiage, defamatory language & inaccuracy of assumptions) written on this site. It vaguely reminds me of that movie "Mean Girls",

Everything I wrote in this thread was honest & accurate. I believe it is my duty & responsibility to clarify & rectify things. I am honest & honorable & anyone who truly knows me, will tell you the same. I am gentle by nature & a workaholic. I spend 9-10 hours a day working.

I am a scholastically trained equities trader & day trade from home. I spend endless hours each day from pre-market early morning trading, until the market close at 4 pm. I then do research after hours & then dabble in the internet business in the late afternoon & list in the evening. During the day, i have the CNBC stock market channel on, read through company balance sheets, earnings statements, charting stocks, look at projected earnings & analysts recommendations. I am cerebral in nature & not emotional, like a lot of the ladies on this site.

My creative outlet & happy place is listing on Ebay. I have the opportunity to bring beautiful pieces to life, through lovely listings. I have a business partner but, do most of the work. I have slowly built Euro-Luxe on Ebay for 18 years & am very proud of it.

There is nothing wrong with stating facts. For example, I think the jacket I bought is fake or I found out for sure, it is fake.

The problem now is, things have said by a group of friends that are highly inaccurate, unfair & defamatory. It is beyond hurtful & just cruel.

I was dragged into a thread about a seller minimaldeluxe in NY on Ebay using receipts to sell fake items. I have now been dragged into this thread, insulted & called a super fake seller, every item currently listed must be super fake & an insinuation that every item I ever sold superfake over the last 18 years. That is NOT accurate & beyond unfair. I heartbroken & have been unable to get my blood pressure down for the last 2 days. Words hurt & have consequences.

I am very honest in both personal & business. I am a highly spiritual person & believe in the Karmic Laws of the Universe. It is simple Quantum Physics & Mechanics & the transference of energy. I don't like to indulge in negative words, thoughts or action because I understand they attach to energy & can boomerang back to me.

I don't care what anyone writes here. I am very honest & kind & do my best, as far as due diligence before listing. Many of the jackets I have sold, have been taken to actual Chanel boutiques to get altered over the years. I will not be defamed or lumped in some sub par, super fake category. I go above & beyond in my business, have integrity & have an exemplary 18 year track record.

I am here in good faith & am trying to be honorable, responsible & do the right thing. I am not here to be harassed for an extended period of time, by people who may have ulterior motives.

As a new member, over the last 2 days, I have looked through this entire website in different forums or sections. I can't believe how much time & energy have been put into mean spirited posts on this website. I have witnessed it, in all different forums here. Some people are just cruel & even wrong about certain topics.

Ladies, words hurt & can even have ramifications that directly affect your own life & future.

If you understood exactly "what" negative thoughts, negative words & negative actions have the power to do in the universe, you would rethink every move you make 10 times. You are putting out negative energy, it attaches to other negative energy & it will come back to you. It is simple Quantum Physics & Mechanics. The great scientists & physicists understood this & wrote about it. It has to do with one of the "Laws of Energy Transfer"

I am writing this to bring awareness to people. If you indulge in positive thoughts, words & actions you will see how your life will change. You will start to see, that good things will start happening in your life.

Jiaojiao, I answered your private message & looks forward to hearing from you later. Thank you for your message. : )

In closing, I believe I have thoroughly addressed posts & apologize to Karena for the jacket sold in 2018 on VC & to Jiaojiao for the jacket sold in 2018 on Ebay.

Please know one thing, I am indeed heartbroken but, my spirit is not broken. My resolve is strong.

I believe as ladies, we should empower each other & be kind to one another. I am here in good faith but, I will not be brutalized or bullied.

I just re-read each of your messages 2-3 times for accuracy. I now realize why you did not contact me directly. Yesterday I could not understand why you did not contact me directly, tell me your concern about the 2015 jacket & then ask for a refund.

I am very hurt & heartbroken by things I have read on this site. I am not a social media darling & do not have time to engage in forums or social media. For the record, every single thing I have ever told you in messages, is information I was told & believed. I am very honest in both personal & business. I don't like to indulge in negative words, thoughts or action because I understand they attach to energy & can boomerang back to me.

I tried to find your Ebay transaction but, Ebay only shows the last few months. It would not go back to 2018. I then tried to find your Paypal transaction yesterday & only found the 2004 vintage tweed suit. I was flustered I suppose, in retrospect. I now have enough info from you & will go look again & refund you.

I always considered you a friend, which is why this is so hard for me overall.

Until now, I had not even dabbled on this site. I was familiar with it but, did not frequent the site. You mentioned something about posts from competitors. What site did you see them on?

The last post was a copy of what I wrote to Jiaojiao in a private message. I am transparent.

As long as you do the right thing and refund the proven fakes, I have no personal issues with you. You have at least tried to be transparent. No one is perfect and mistakes will be made. I don't buy pre-loved as I can't 100% trust that it's real so my personal preference is to stay away.

Side note though we are not all mean spirited people with lots of time on our hands. Some of us love the brands and live vicariously through others looking at pictures and sharing our purchases and thoughts. I personally subscribe to the motto of if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything. Good luck with growing your business in a way to limit these types of customer experience.

Thank you @Karenaellen for the photos, and thank you Danielle/@Euro-lux for your responses. As some of you know, normally PF does not intervene in these, and as we have a response from the seller I am going to close this thread.

Reminder: Please be careful about posting personal information on the PF (no issues here but just wanted to remind folks.

Thanks, everyone, for keeping it cool.
