Is there usually a line at these sales? Any suggestions on how early to arrive? Does the store limit the number of customers at once for the public sale? TIA
Yes, there was a line in the previous sales and the store limit the number of customers at once. But I am not sure how early we will need to be there. Last time I went, there were lots of people in front of the store without forming a line, and I had to wait for a long time in order to get in. But around noon and in the afternoon, there was no line any more and it was much easier to get in.
Times like this I wish I had Cayenne Pepper's memory ~ Please pardon my pathetic memory
Silks were limited to 3 per customer ( twilly , gm, 90cm, 70cm and other embroidered silk all count towards the quota)
Twilly- only saw 2
90cm -2 big bins, I'm no expert in silk but from what I could tell they are not the most popular designs .
GM- mostly temari (?) Japanese silk balls, 1 really old looking blue giraffe ,
Bags- any leather bags and clutches /even toiletry bag in leather are limited to 1 per customer .
Bolides ( the furry kind is it trekia? Toile and leather , red, turquoise, brown, in size 31;
picotin pm ( mostly white with vermillion under handle and 1 in gold/ vert anis bi color),
Medor clutches in large size, much larger than what we see in boutiques now. But picking one in perfect condition is tough.
Plume and plume docs and plume élan in various colors
Trim in veripus colors and sizes
Lots of travel size bags
Gaos
Maasai
Polochon s(sp) in Lots of sizes and color
Tiger print drawstring bag
Lots of enamel bangles
Some lacquer bangles
1 lift pendant in pale rose color
Couple of cuff links
Charms- kelly boot , tiger for 2010, helicopter ,sailboat
Cadena- suitcase , Pegasus on carousel , lotus , book ,
Men's scarf - quite a few losange in diff materials ; wool scarf with zipper compartment for iPhone
Lots of perfumes and 3 little perfume vials in pink , red and brown .
Ladies shoes - approx 30 pairs per size and 4-5 styles .
Everything was 50% off.
Small leather goods limit is 2 per person .
Very calm and quiet ; private sale supposedly starts at 2pm but they let ppl in after international press did their coverage .

Boo, thanks for the report. My heart skipped a beat when I saw 'Bolide' on sale. Are they any full leather ones ? I haven't seen a Toile/Leather Bolide at the store in a long time. Wondering how old these bags are.

Monceau, I was there quite early and there were just a few - maybe 4 or 5. One of which came home with me.

Yes, It's Brique Box (I think..
)... I was holding one today, contemplating...but I got a different bag instead.. I wanted 2 (The other was was Sac Goodnews GM in Blanc)..but came home with 1... come to think of it..wish I got this too...but I'm HAPPY with everything I got!
