Skinnygirl Bethenny Frankel shows off her slender legs in tiny shorts while walking her dog

She created the hugely successful line of low-calorie Skinnygirl cocktails.

And it appears Bethenny Frankel practices what she preaches.

The 42-year-old displayed her incredibly toned, slender legs in tiny shorts as she took her dog for a walk in East Hampton, New York on Wednesday.

The Real Housewives Of New York star looked summery in the shorts, which she paired with a colourful striped top and platform sandals.

Bethenny wore her brown hair loose and unstyled over her shoulders and highlighted her eyes with dark brown shadow.

The-mother-of-one carried a large beige handbag as she busily texted on her phone while crossing the road.

Bethenny is currently locked in a bitter divorce and custody battle with her estranged husband Jason Hoppy.

Both have requested primary custody of their daughter Bryn and neither party look to be backing down.

The couple made yet another in a long series of appearances in a New York City courthouse last week as they battle out their divorce and custody fight.

It all came to a head as the pair couldn't stop bickering over how the other is raising their toddler -- including an argument in front of the judge over junk food.

Radar Online reported that the two were told they were 'acting like school children' and that their actions were proving to be harmful on their daughter.

'This ongoing fighting and nitpicking of the most trivial of details including Jason allowing Bryn to eat junk food, has just got to stop,' the source said.

I think they're both immature, for different reasons. I think, like someone alluded to previously, Beth is just not the marrying kind. She admitted to being a runaway bride before Jason. And that's fine. She just needs to realize she's not the "type". I think you can like things/ideas in theory, but I also think it takes a mature/self-contained/wise person to know the difference. Jason is a bit of a hypocrite for me: You (in general) can't admit your insecurities over fame, fortune, and the nontraditional role of male spouse making significantly less and then fight over every thing/accolade/accoutrement(s) that comes with it--loft, alimony/child support, etc...

Is his continued love of his wedding ring a ploy to garner sympathy from the public and look like a grieving husband?

I have liked them both from the beginning: RHONY to the Beth series. I think, like for most people, divorce brings out the worst in people. I know of VERY few divorces that AREN'T acrimonious. In a lot of ways, this makes them "real" after all...

Why does she have a coat on Cookie? If it's hot enough for you to be wearing shorts, your dog certainly doesn't need to be wearing a coat. :weird:

Maybe this was advised by the vet they saw while in the Hamptons? Cookie is old and has had health problems recently. And it can't be that hot. In one of the other pictures a woman in the background is wearing a jacket over her dress.

I don't know why there is a custody battle. Both parents are fit parents so more than likely they will have joint custody. Brynn can spend a few nights with mom and a few with dad during the week, this would be best for her.

Well he's still married. Why should he take off the ring ? My MIL didn't remove her ring until after she was divorced.

Just because you are separated, getting a divorce doesn't mean you ARE, and taking a ring off also doesn't mean the relationship is over, your feelings are gone and you can move on ASAP.

If only that were true.

I would not want to date anyone just divorced and be their first relationship. I don't care how long they were separated or if they said " but it was over long before we got divorced ". Mmmmhmmm.

It's weird IMO. . . if you no longer want to be married and you're working on the deets of a settlement I don't see any reason to wear the ring, especially a "celeb", other then to garner sympathy.

I agree. When I was first separated, even before it was "legal" on paper, I took off my ring. I didn't even think of dating until I was separated for a year, but I took the damn ring off my finger! It was a surprise to me, but I didn't want that ring on my finger for a minute after my ex moved out while I was at work!

Of course, we aren't celebrities, we didn't live in a multi-million dollar condo, nor did we have millions to fight over! Also, our children were grown...

No one is saying it makes the marriage over....Just wearing a ring definitely doesn't make a marriage....I guess my comments come from the fact of how acrimonious their divorce has been why would you want to stay connected by that item...the vibe he gives is that HE is still holding on, and if it were HIS choice, they would still be married.
