Global Blue - has anyone had the experience of their tax refunds not working? I have one that I witnessed the customs officer stamp and sign that still says “waiting customs stamp” seven weeks past departure. Several others also still say waiting customs stamp as well (they were less than 2000€ and I was instructed to place them in the mailbox and the customs officers stamps them and forward later. Global blue customer service says to wait but it has been seven weeks!!
I have a global blue pending. I didn’t understand why only one didn’t go through but looked on the website with the tax refund number. It wasn’t clear but I renentered my information and they emailed.
I since that noticed that the SA put the wrong credit card number for refund on the form!
I was able to change it online. They got back to me and asked me a copy of my passport for authenticity but I am away until next week. They are responsive and trying to help. I will do that next week.
However their website is quite hard to navigate.
I suggest that you enter your tax number and information, then your credit card again (the one for the refund). If the credit card isn’t recognized, start again the form by entering a new credit card.
Then they will email you within a week hopefully as for me.
I do find them more helpful that Planet, which takes forever and won’t communicate with you.

Is it possible to get VAT custom stamp at Zurich (ZRH) airport for purchase made in Austria?
I made purchases in Austria, drove through the Austrian-Swiss border. Didn’t see any obvious sign on tax refund on the point where I entered Switzerland when travel by car.
I’m taking international flight, flying out of Zurich today. I’m wondering any place I can get a stamp for my form at the airport. My guess is no. But just want to make sure.
TIA

Don’t think so bc Austria would have been your last EU point of departure.
Switzerland is not part of the EU or EU customs union, but you could go early to inquire

Just want to update that over 11+ weeks out I finally received the global blue refund.

Did you always have to drop off the Hermes global blue after custom in Paris? I know they did the electronic stamp (since there was no stamp on the form) but they told me I had to drop the form + receipt off to the mailbox and I did (while I did not have to do that for other brands when I left EU from Barcelona). I got my refund within a week... and I wonder if I should have kept my Hermes receipt (i only took a picture of it :D I like to keep receipts haha)

That is very odd. I have always been told to keep my receipts! You need your receipts for customs so makes zero sense for you to send it with the global blue form. Very strange.

yeah it is weird -- I had the same question! so maybe next time I won't send then. in other stores not luxury that i've been to, they had 1 receipt for the global blue envelop and 1 receipt I keep.... For Dior, Chanel, LV and Loewe, they only gave me 1 receipt (and I did not have to send them in when I left Barcelona to the US).

Has anyone ever had their stamped form be lost in the mail back to Global Blue? It’s been 10+ weeks and they (GB) say they do not have the form yet; additionally, they say they must have the original and will not accept the photo copy I have of the stamped form and the store receipt.

For this reason, I now ask them to email the receipt to me instead of printing a physical copy, so whatever physical copy that is attached, I just leave it with the detaxe form.

No, I believe I was told to keep it. (Not drop it into the mailbox). I get the refund on my cc.

@stupidolive, I have also been advised to keep the form and receipt and refunds have been processed to my credit card.
Yeah next time I will keep the receipt. It was strange to me that they told me to send the form in. At least my experience in Spain and France for these have been that if we detax in the country we bought things, we didnt need to send anything and get tax back within a week.

I actually just got one of my refunds back finally last week for a form dropped off on September 21. This was a form that needed a manual custom stamp.
