Stores can absolutely reissue tax refund forms. Ive had 2 experiences with this before. First time with the tax free form had another client's name written on it with my purchases, on them. (Their fault). Second time i lost the form. (My fault).

Both times, the store i bought from was able to reissue another tax free form.
Thank you for the information! Now I'm really inclined to believe the "no we can't reissue it" was simply "I don't know how to do it so I will say no we can't". I know that happens sometimes...I will go in and hopefully sort it out Wednesday. Thank you again :flowers::flowers:

Hi ladies. Just got back home and I’d like to share my experience. There was no customs desk at Gare de Lyon but customs officers came on board before crossing from France into Switzerland. They had the stamp with them and kindly offered to help me mail off the envelopes

And just as well. Our GVA-FRA flight was horribly delayed and we ended up with only a 1 hour layover instead of 2 hours. We had to run to catch our FRA-SIN flight so there was no way we could have gotten the tax refund done in Frankfurt.

Keeping my fingers crossed we will get our refunds soon!

Thank you for updating with your experience. Glad it worked out with the agents on the train!

Does anyone know if the customs desks at CDG are staffed 24x7? I know Pablo machines will work, but in the case of Pablo rejection, are agents available 24x7? Thanks in advance!

No detaxe is not staffed 24/7.
They are usually open by 0630 and close before 11 pm.

I second this information by Longchamp; I have had to wait for customs officers to arrive at opening time in the past.
They would never staff 24/7, it would be a waste of manpower, especially now with the Pablo technology available, since the majority of purchases are those not requiring personal examination by customs officers.

Oh no it’s not working out well. Seems the agents mailed the forms but forgot to stamp them, so I’m not getting my refunds [emoji33][emoji37]

Anyone knows what I should do now? [emoji20]

Oh no. I havent had this happen to me unfortunately but I know it has happened to other forum members. I think the French consolate may have to take care of it. Try searching as I believe there is some information here on the process, not sure what thread it is. Good luck!

You can request global blue or premier tax refund to mail back the unstamped forms.’then go to the French embassy to get a letter to write to the French customs to explain and request for those forms to be stamped. Which means u need to mail the unstamped forms with the letter to French customs.. they will fwd to the tax refund agent after they done the stamping.. rem to bring your purchase item to the French Embassy..I’m assuming you purchase the items in Paris

Thank you so much, ladies! I’ll give it a go. I had bought quite a bit this trip so the tax refund is quite substantial [emoji38]

Hi everyone – I am in Paris right now and made some significant purchases purchases at Galeries Lafayette. However, I did not understand the process that you have to go to the basement the date of purchases to get your refund. I have the receipt that they gave me at the counter. Can I use this to get my refund at Charles de Gaulle airport on my way home? Thanks.
